I'm glad to see that the turnaround time on passports isn't typically as long as the website states. I applied for my first passport on Friday so hopefully mine will come back fast as well.
I finally got my passport.....it took 5 wks, 5 days. I recieved an email on Monday that they were finished and mailing it, it was in my mailbox on Wednesday. I'm still waiting on my birth certificate to arrive.

Thanks for the info and the pics. I'm glad to know that the cabins have refrigerators and USB ports, they didn't have those features on Triumph last year.

Hi all. I lost .8 this week. I do good every week with exercise: ZUMBA 2x/wks and exercise machines 2x/wks. My main problem is my caloric intake mostly anything sweet. I have been successful in the past on WW/caloric counting type programs so that is what I'm trying to do now.
I'm headed to Nashville for the night so I hope to not overeat this weeks loss. I did pack workout clothes so I will hit the hotel gym in the am. Sadly, I will be missing my beloved Saturday morning ZUMBA class back home.
Great poem Belle.

The problem is that you are dealing with TWO beauracracies - the State Department and the Postal Service. In our case the State Department moved - the Postsl Service just squatted on one of our passports for over three weeks. It was an interesting exercise using the tracking application.
It's ridiculous that the postal service delayed your passport, good thing you didn't need it back fast. I did the tracker on mine, it's processing now and the State Department has cashed my check.

I just heard about the snooze and cruise deals. I'm glad to find the post with hotel recommendations. Is it hard getting the shuttle back to the hotel post cruise? Thanks.

Hi. I just found this board so glad to know that you are here. I'm TRYING to lose before my next cruise in 81 days, this might be the "weigh in" motivation that i need to help me get to my goal. I haven't done well in the last few weeks, I've gained. I need to get serious for real now so I can post a loss here next Thursday.
JennyB1977- I have been trying to remember the name of that cake since just before Easter. I made it once a few years ago, I thought that it would be the perfect flavor for my Easter bunny cake but settled for a plain white cake mix.
Congrats those who loss or maintained.

My last 2 cruises were forward and I specifically book my next one forward because i'm familiar with how to maneuver from forward. I think that I would like any area because they all have some proximity advantage to a given activity or venue. My next cruise is the first time booked on lido so i'm excited to see how well I like that area.

I just read about this ship listing on a news feed so i'm glad to read your experience of it. I've been on a few cruises but have never experienced anything like this, it sounds unnerving!! I'm glad it ended well.

Great review. I really want to book a cruise to Cuba but Hubby isn't ready for that yet.

This is my first upsell offer and first balcony.
We are currently booked on Glory in a front, port side balcony, on the Lido. The offer is to switch to a middle, starboard balcony on the Spa deck for $24. Is this a good move? Are the Spa cabins larger or have other perks associated with them?

Congrats!! I've received an upgrade once many years ago from a inside to an outside cabin......I'm waiting on the next one to a balcony.

It seems that since the "birth" of other social media sites, CC has taken a back seat, which I personally think is sad.
I remember when CC was the lifeblood of cruise research. I still prefer CC over all the other options, just wish some of the ports of calls had more updated info available.
Just my two cents worth!
I totally agree. When I first started cruising I would read the reviews here and learned lots of great info. I took a break from cruising and CC for years due having small kids but now that I'm back, it's not quite the same. I enjoy reading the reviews of those who are left here and I wish that I had the skill to write a good review. Maybe I'll try for my next cruise.

Very excited my next trip will be a birthday Cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday. Trip will be March 17, 2019:ship::ship::pon Carnaval Fasination
What a wonderful way to celebrate your 50th! (y) I went on a cruise last year a week before my birthday so we celebrated it during that trip. I hope that you enjoy your cruise.

I just watched the TV movie "Love at Sea" that was filmed on this ship during this cruise. The ship looked great on TV and in your review! Thus far, I have only been on CCL but your review makes me want to book RCCL, specifically this ship. Thanks for this great "LIVE" review, pics and other attachments.

Great review so far.

You can look up their numbers on Carnivals website although they cannot have profiles unless they are at least 13. I just keep my daughters number on my phone and when I book a cruise I add it to the booking. I forgot to do that in July and boy was my 6 year old miffed that she got a blue card!! [emoji23]
My 10 year old daughter went on her second cruise in May. I logged onto the Carnival website found her VIPF # and added it to that booking. After reading your comment, I'm so glad that I did because she would've been upset also to get a blue card for the second time. I assumed that Carnival would automatically add the points and giving the right card but I guess I was wrong.

Great review!! I'd love to cruise on Vista.

Good review, thanks for the tip on going from front to back. Triumph only had a few decks that went from front to back as well, it took me a day to figure out those decks. We are going to Glory next year when it comes to NO, until then I'm reading all the reviews that I can find on the ship.

I almost never order a frozen cocktail like a Kiss on the Lips, and certainly would not be drinking something like this during an average afternoon at home, but I did enjoy it on the ship.
Doesn't that look delicious?!
I tried "Kiss on the Lips" on my cruise last year and LOVED IT. Great review so far (I'm still reading the rest)

You must be on the September 29 run. Cannot wait to set sail!
Yes but sadly not on Horizon, I'd LOVE to cruise on that ship. We will be on Glory out of NOLA. Looking forward to it!!!

I have never booked FTTF either for the same reason...but I am considering it because the people we are cruising with is buying it. It would be a little annoying if they are able to do FTTF things while we are still waiting.....
BTW, we are book on a different cruise in September 2019, only 442 days away. So exciting!!!

Good job on your first review. I've been on the Triumph 2 times within 8 months and enjoyed both trips. I must admit that I was a little bit leery of it after reading the reviews, especially after realizing that it had BAD reputation. Our experience was much better than the bad reviews and our CD Jess from the US was fabulous. I agree that the food is subpar compared to my first 4 cruises, the last being almost 12 years ago. The ship is definitely showing its age, I would love to cruise it after they "Sunshine it". I still love cruising and like you I'm looking at other cruises to book. Maybe my next cruise I'll write my very first review.

Enjoying the review, I'm looking at booking the same itinerary on the Breeze in 2020. I'll tune in tomorrow to read your review of the ports, I've never been to any of them.

I would like to see them too, we are going in July.
