over the top , perhaps an old fashion word

think, going to dinner on a viking ship wearing an old fashion smoking jacket, tux pants, silk slippers and a silk top hat  

folks loved it as they did him and when they found out he could really sing  he was being invited to parties all over the US when we got home 

as a single gay  woman my experiences have been much different than most of the post.

I travel with some pals who are also gay but we are just friends not partners but

find that folks at these meetings just assume we are partners.  

Usually  most of the group are men, and usually partners of long time standings.  I have found them to be pleasant, nice, fellows.  

we have drinks together and quite often the last night at sea we get together at one or two tables to have a final meal

on occasion i have run into some one or a small group in port and we have a pleasant time sharing adventures.

my experiences have been on Princess ships which i have found to be very gay friendly

i have been checking this out as well.

and have seen it is possible to find some things even with the double cost may be better.

don't need to make a decision , just checking out options as it has only been recently that i will be traveling alone.

I have made a list of all ships that have solo cabins and talked with several folks from various lines. 

Finding ones that that will get me=to japan ,New Zealand, Iceland are a bit tricky 

thanks for=the tip about travel agents as I usually do my own arrangements but now may be the time to reconsider 

Have been trying to find solo cabins  and it is a bit overwhelming  

it it doesn’t help that/I am not sure where to go except the areas that will be=new to me are a ver long plane ride, but I would still like to travel for a few more years and so am just doing research that to see what is available

Have meet lots of fun folks. Mostly men and coupled but as a single lesbian it was always a fun group  

rarely see other=single women 

usually go with princess as they are very gay friendly but a few friends are planing a trip in dec. And we are a bunch of "old lesbians" and want to be freeto be ourselves (no dancing around bra less wrapped in pride flags). Just comfortable

Just got back from a princess cruise and met a lot of very friendly folks. That Id as gay and we ended up meeting every night for a drink

Saw others on board who we knew where gay because they had on pride shirts and invited them to join us but they said they had family members traveling with them so .....

However princesss is very gay friendly and posted a meeting in the daily post of events. We even had a few straight folksjoin us but we always indicated that we were a LGBT group and they were welcome to join us

Because they are special prices, you don't have to pay a supplement or for two.

It seems i miss understood this forum was just trying to be helpful for those who didn't want to pay double prices.

Am considering on doing something in Nov. or Dec this year, but will probably be going alone and thought I would check out this forum to gather up information to aid in my search.

I will be checking in from time to time and reviewing this years comments.
