That’s what I thought as it’s port times but someone said it was at nab. Reporting times that aren’t actually arrival times but T-2:45 aren’t much use to anyone.

ETA times on AIS are primarily of course for other ships who know that is usually to the destination pilot station.

Cunard has had “early afternoon” on the timetable for a while but at least it’s very early afternoon.

Is cable car nearer/better than funicular? Not rebooking ridiculous Cunard rates as no point going up if mountains shrouded in cloud. Cunard do have a fair range of activities which is a bit optimistic given realistically only 5 hours in Bergen.

The cable car company run a bus from near the fish market to the cable station. It gives a wider view than funicular.

Shame indeed. We don’t arrive in Bergen in June until “early afternoon” which is a bit rubbish really. I’m sure she could get there in the morning … (leaves “early evening” so 4 or 5 hours in Bergen….)

Bergen port and cunard spain ws have departure at 2100.

She is currently sailing at 21.9 knots according to Marine Traffic. Nice to see making good speed, shame when in service she will be in go slow mode for fuel saving.

Speed is governed to arrive in port usually 7/8am. By all.means go flat out and arrive 2am and pay more for greater fuel consumption.

If the pilot boat or something similar has to come and collect you from the Solent, say, as I have seen happen, who pays for that?

All UK  and Ireland medivacs are carried out by RÑLI or CG helicopters, sometimes both will be involved depending on situation.

Oh, Zeebrugge is an inspired guess! I hadn't even thought to look there yet. The tower at the lower left looks like a good match to Sint-Donatianuskerk near the port. Having trouble working out an angle that also includes wind turbines but Zeebrugge certainly has plenty of those. I'll be very interested to learn if you've come up with the correct answer. Well done for a good workable hypothesis in any event.

Zeebrugge correct Nov 22 QM2 NL cruise  somewhere in this video are the breakwaters  at harbour entrance

And my, wasn’t she lambasted… mainly before people sailed in her. I must say I really don’t like the black wood though, but I’m sure lots of people do.

Absolutely and now many people's favourite.
