  1. My DH, DD and I were in one of the affected cabins on Deck 8, port, midship.  What a mess.  So many rooms flooded. The Summit staff worked very diligently around the clock to try to make repairs.  Only a limited number of wet dry vacs and dryers.  Multiple cabins having carpeting replaced, etc.  Our carpet was still wet when we disembarked.

  2. We(myself, DH and DD) will be traveling this summer on the Celebrity summit in a veranda stateroom(2A).  We will like to put up a privacy curtain for our teenage daughter.  I have read that some people have had luck with a shower curtain and magnetic hooks on the ceiling.  Would anyone have any experience if this would work on the Summit?  Thanks

  3. My family will be traveling on the Summit this summer and it will be our first experience with Celebrity.  We are staying in a regular veranda and our adult children across the hall from us in an inside room.  Would anyone be able to post pictures of these rooms?  Are there bathtubs in the bathrooms or stand alone showers?  Are there grab bars in the showers?

  4. My family will be taking our first Celebrity cruise this August on the Summit.  Our parents (ages 87, 86, 85, 79) will be traveling with my husband, me(50's) and our 20 year old daughter .  Our parents have mobility issues and no added salt dietary restrictions.  We are ordering electric scooters to be delivered to the pier.  We have select dining.

    1)  We would appreciate any general recommendations and suggestions.

2)Will the scooters be available at check-in at the pier, in a general location on the ship, or delivered to their staterooms(handicapped rooms booked)?

3)Dad has a history of heart failure and needs a no added salt diet.  Will there be available choices on the dinner menu?

    4) Are there any shuttles from the pier to the Dockyard?

We have cruised NCL, Princess and Disney so we are not new to cruising, but new to Celebrity.

    Thanks

  5. I am also interested in a July 2018 Japan cruise with my family which will include one teenager and three in their 20's. Would anyone have copies of Japan princess patters? I also noticed the dinner choices were set dining times.

  6. We went directly to Anchor Cove to purchase our parking pass right after renting our car. We were directed to purchase the pass from the receptionist at the restaurant at Anchor Cove. She gave us a parking permit to display on our front dashboard and directed us where to park. Later in the afternoon, there was a person with a security T shirt sitting in the parking lot selling parking permits.

  7. We rented a car and went to Waimea Canyon on Day 1, and went tubing on Day 2. We paid for overnight parking at the Anchor Cove Mall at Lihue. (We got our parking pass first thing after renting the car). Waimea Canyon is a long drive from Lihue and the canyon road is a winding narrow ridge road with a lot of traffic. The tubing checkin building is close to the port. We had a 9 am tubing tour (check in 8:30 am), ended at 12 noon, dropped off the rental car at LIHUE airport, and back on the ship in time for lunch.

  8. We got off the POA at 9 am and had a 10:15 am shuttle to the airport booked through Roberts of Hawaii. The cost was very reasonable. We were one of the last off the ship. We picked up our luggage and checked in with the Robert's agent. We waited inside the terminal for approx 25-30 minutes and were on the shuttle to the airport before 10 am. We were very pleased with the shuttle service. The driver gave us a nice narration as he drove.
