  1. Hi,

We're on the same cruise, and I have absolutely no idea what to pack. I've been on 16 cruises, all in the Caribbean. I am a beach baby. Hope to meet ya. dulcimergirl.

This is my first cruise. I'm so excited, but also have no idea what to pack, so I am very interested in other peoples favs.

  2. So I took the advice of the great people on this board and added some more bottoms to go with my vast array of tops. Still considering adding another pair of capris. Here is what I have now. I took away a lot as I will be traveling by train to Madrid and don't want to haul around all that wright plus weight restrictions on plane. I was pushing it.

  3. Yes, it is all going into a single carryon with the exception of medications, jewelry, makeup, travel documents, etc. It helps that my formal outfits are made from a a slinky material from Jones New York or similar brand and can be rolled up no problem. All my clothes are rolled up tight( dresses, skirts, pants, etc). I have two sets of shoes lining the bottom of my bag , one is a small set of heels, one is bulkier, so items are stuffed into those, tops are stuffed into any gaps,. Finally, Sweaters are placed on top along with Tevas which are in a bag to prevent dirt, and there you have it.

  4. Thanks Ladies for your suggestions.

There will be two formal nights, one smart casual, and one night dinner at Chops, so I thought I would wear the less fancy heels to smart casual and Chops and the fancy ones to the two formals. I also took your advice and added 2 black tees and did away with a white one and a white and black printed one to be safe I ditched one of the sweaters. Thanks again.

  5. Well, after much experimentation I have managed to get a wardrobe that I am pleased with into my carryon for our 7 Day Mediterranean cruise as well as time spent in Barcelona and Madrid.for a total of 14 days for the whole trip.So without further ado, this is what I have.

I am open to suggestion as I have no experience with this area and could easily pack lighter I suppose. This is just what I have so far.

  6. I've been using Clinique products for half of my life! So all my makeup and face products, eye products, lip products, body products, and suncreen are all Clinique. I always look forward to their gift-with-purchase campaigns so that I can get travel-sized products.

Clinique Bonus Time is my favorite! I love collecting their moisturizers and trial size. Like you said, perfect for travel! Raised on the stuff.

  7. We're the same size! The swimsuit I just brought is a size 14. I'm kinda pear-shaped and small-small busted so I wanted the top to fit. I couldn't believe the bottoms fit too but they did!:D I'll have to take a look at Lands End since you ladies seem to like it so much!:D

We sound like twins! Those are my proportions! I can wear a large in LandsEnd cardigans and a 14 or 16 in their pants or skirts. My new dress is a 14/16 . I especially love their fit and flare dresses for summer, very flattering for a pear shape I think and the top of the dress fits me.

  8. I'm with the LandsEnd crowd. I love my bathing suit from there as well as all their other clothing for plus size women. I wear a size 16 and I like that I can get the same thing in a 16 or 16W if need be. I also like that sometimes I wear a 14w there:). But bathing suits, YES! get one of theirs.

  9. Thanks ladies! I appreciate your help in advance. To answer your question (I apologize for being so vague) I will be spending 3 nights on land in Barcelona, 3 nights in Madrid, apart from the cruise. The cruise begins in Barcelona, and basically visits France, and Italy. To give you on idea of ports:

Aix-en-Provence, Villefranche (Nice), Florence/Pisa, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Naples/Capri. Any and all advice, tips, suggestions, much appreciated:)

  10. I probably should have clarified regarding Chico's. The pieces that I own from the Traveler's Collection are sleeveless tees. I can imagine knits getting Hot! I like their sleeveless tees because they dry quickly and they wad up into virtually nothing in your carryon. They are sort of a light polyester blend. Thanks for all the helpful tips.
