  1. Hi!  We leave on 12/23 on the Mariner of the Seas, we are all checked in online and in the app, but on the internet site it still says our luggage tags are pending.  Can anyone help me figure out how to access and print them?   We have two rooms and linked reservations booked through RC directly.  They don't seem to be on the app, and pending on the internet site.

    Thanks!

  2. I did return, and I read all your responses. I probably won't ever post again based on the responses I received. One poster even asked why I posed the question...let me tell you. RC is very unclear about their dress code. It is hard to find anything concrete and even if you do, it doesn't seem to be enforced. Last year, before his growth spurt, I made sure he had several pairs of long pants and dressed up for dinner every night. In the MDR, every night, there were people in shorts, even some in shorts, flip flops, and ball caps.

Hence the question. I simply asked if the dress code was the same for children. I truly didn't mean to start a debate or be admonished by many. I thank the people that kindly answered and gave suggestions.

Additionally, to let you know, when I tried to order 26x32 pants at two stores that said they had them, they then called or emailed me to say they were out of stock.

  3. Thank you for your kind responses. Those of you who are saying to buy pants or go to the thrift store are not understanding my dilemma. I am not unwilling to purchase pants, I cannot find ones that fit. His waist is 26 inches at best, his inseam is 33 inches. Short of having tailor made pants, they don't make ones that fit. I did order ones from Amazon the smallest you can find in the waist is 28 inches. They would not stay up. This is the reason I was asking if he could wear nice shorts. Shorts are easier to fit at this age.

Thank you to those that provided answers.

  4. First, let me say I am not wanting to start a debate, I have an honest question. My 12 year old son has had a huge growth spurt and I can't find pants for him to wear on our cruise. For reference he is 5'8 and 110 pounds with a 33 inch inseam. Is it appropriate for non-formal nights for him to wear nice khaki shorts with a collared type polo shirt? I am well aware of the debate on shorts in the MDR, but what about for children? What is considered appropriate for kids to wear in the MDR?

    Thank you for your help.

  5. I am hoping someone with a bit more cruising experience can help me. My son is T1D and has a Dexcom CGM that we use the Dexcom Follow App to monitor his BG. Last year when we cruised on the Enchantment we both had to purchase the VOOM wi-fi package for him to use his Dexcom app and for me to follow it. The problem is the VOOM kept timing out and we had to keep re-connecting. This was a problem at night. We have two cabins and with the Wi-Fi timing out and his high activity levels on a cruise I worry about lows in the night.

Does anyone have a solution so the wi-fi doesn't time out and we don't get the dreaded no data?

I would really appreciate the advice

    Thanks!

  6. We depart on the Breeze 7/12 and today I got an email from Carnival telling me that would be doing a staggered embarkation and our time was from 1pm-2pm. It said if we arrive earlier we might be denied boarding. However, we purchased FTTF, so am I correctly assuming that this email does not apply to me? I certainly hope I didn't purchase FTTF to not be able to get on the ship until 1:00 PM.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  7. We not only are staying in the same room for our 7/21 Freedom cruise but look to be neighbors in the Nati area. When you mentioned Mr. Softee I knew you had to be close by. Thanks for the tip about line 1 vs 2, I too would be livid after waiting in the wrong line.

When you say the mattress has seen better days, do you mean like you are rolling to the middle because of the indentations or just not the quality of your home mattress? I am really picky with my sleep and I am a little worried at this point.

Thanks! Loved the pictures, they were helpful.
