Greatly appreciate your comments as to your experience. GoPort website indicated they are only dropping off to the Mardi Gras and the video paints a very nice picture. Shows they use modern looking buses to transport the passengers. Hope this is accurate.

The buses were very nice. They used large buses and mini-buses when we were there. We both said we would use GoPort in the future if we were willing to trade time for money.

  2. I've used GoPort for parking within the past two years. They aren't taking as many cruise ships now, so maybe departure day has improved. We were there for a May cruise on the Mardi Gras. We waited in a metal building with no A/C on old church pews. We waited at least 45 minutes for a shuttle. The return experience was a little better.

I prefer portcanaveralparking. I've used them twice and both times it was a fantastic experience.

  3. I took a non-surge protected outlet that is supposedly “cruise approved” 🙂 that I got about a year or so ago on Amazon when I went on the Seaside in August. It wasn’t a problem at all.

  4. I remember I joined before my first cruise. There was really nowhere else really to find information about cruising.  And you don’t know what you don’t know.  Cruise Critic was also the only place to find roll calls and chat with people going on your sailing.

Thanks for being here Cruise Critic and everyone who makes up the community.

Do you have a link to that article so we could read it?

    Thanks!

This was stated in a youtube livestream from the channel, Island Time. His verbal report was that the cruise director of the Vista, Savannah, made an announcement stating that reverting back to the old muster process was being considered by Carnival due to so many not getting it done timely. She was probably trying to encourage the 400+ people to go get it done, but words have consequences.

I also signed up for this and have not received any direction on what to do. I cruise in less than a month

My email confirmation said I would receive further directions at the port. I don't think anything else will be sent. Did you get a confirmation when you registered?

Once you arrive at the Port for your cruise on the on 04/XX/2022, you will receive further directions for your on-site test. Thank you.

  7. One of my co-workers used this option recently for a Liberty sailing out of Port Canaveral. He told me that you tell them you have an appointment for the covid test at the first point where you would enter the line with your boarding pass.  They send you to a separate place/room where the test is done.  He recommended arriving about 30 before your appointment/check-in time to allow for the testing. He had a positive experience and highly recommended the process.

  8. I'm not sure about deck 3, I never went down there.  The library has some tables of various sizes though. Every time we went by the library it was either empty, or there was one table with people. We saw a group of ladies playing cards in the Buffet area a couple of times. There are some larger tables in there.  It's open to sit in even when they are not serving food.

  9. I clicked their link from the letter for a sailing next month. It didn't give me a time after I finished the registration process. I did get an email that said I would get information at the pier. Here's what it said:

Thank you, xxxxxxxx, for registering for your Covid test. Once you arrive at the Port for your cruise on the on 02/xx/2022, you will receive further directions for your on-site test. Thank you.

  10. We were on the Valor two weeks ago in a balcony room on deck 8. There was one outlet on the vanity. I had seen reports that some lamps by the bed have USB ports, but ours did not have them. We brought a cruise power strip, non-surge protected, that we bought on amazon. It has no cord and fit perfectly into the area where the plug is on the vanity.

I just got off the phone with Carnival and am so frustrated..The rep I spoke to assured me that our OBC and Cheers package which were both given as incentives to rebook from 2 previous Carnival cancellations would transfer with our FCC if we happened to test positive prior to our upcoming 1/31 cruise.....I doubt that is correct but the part I'm concerned most about is that I mentioned we were testing 2 days prior (Saturday for a Monday cruise) .he was adamant that it had to be 48 hours prior to our boarding time which is 1-130p...our tests are Sat am before noon and cannot be changed..I have read all over this forum and even Carnival website says 2 days with no mention of 48 hours!.He transferred me to a supervisor as I questioned his information ..I held an hour and 20 minutes and then went to the survey without ever getting a supervisor..UGH!  So now I'm worried about the tests being rejected if he was correct....I doubt arguing that this forum gave me different info will be enough if we get rejected at the terminal...can anyone who has tested more that 48 hours but within the 2 day requirements confirm this was not an issue?  I can't imagine that it wouldn't be mentioned everywhere if that was the case..so over all the stress of this relaxing vacation already..haha

I went on the Valor a few weeks ago. I did my test on a Saturday morning around 7am and checked in for boarding on Monday at 10:30.  No issues, it wasn’t questioned at all.
