Hi Mike,

Thank you for checking here to address O website concerns. Overall, it's a great site. One thing that I find challenging is how quickly it times out and logs you off. Often, I am trying to research shore excursions or do other research on other sites while referencing the Oceania site and I am timed out, lose my place on the O site, and have to log back in multiple times. This is frustrating. Can the time out length be adjusted? And I too have the same problem as Paulchili--the site never remembers me.

We may be traveling on the same October cruise, so FYI, I did some research on the ferry and hydrofoil to Capri from Amalfi because I will likely do something else from Sorrento. The return times were really badly timed for either transportation option because we are tendering in at Amalfi and Sorrento and we are sailing at 6pm from Amalfi, which just isn't enough time to get a boat back from Capri. So it kind of forces you to do Capri from Sorrento where there are quicker hydrofoils (it's just closer to Sorrento than it is to Amalfi). I still haven't made up my mind what I am doing those two ports because I want to do so much. And I want to hit the Limoncello factory store in Sorrento, so I need some time to accomplish that task.

Has anyone done the Naples pizza experience? Is that more fun than time in Capri? I have been neither place, but I have been to Amalfi and Sorrento.

So excited to see someone on the refurbished Nautica posting their experiences! I hope you have a wonderful cruise. We are sailing on her this Fall--our first Oceania cruise--from Rome to Istanbul, and cannot wait! I imagine you will hit some of the same ports we will, so please post details about any DIY shore excursions or special places in port that you enjoyed.

Thanks so much for the reply, alexspepa aka Keith! You have really helped build my excitement. I will be on Nautica, not Riviera, but if all goes well this fall, I hope to sail on Riviera in the future!

I am looking forward to reading your review, Alexspepa. As a fellow North Carolinian and a first time Oceania cruiser coming up this fall (Rome to Istanbul), I am curious how you found the line and amenities, etc. Have you cruised on other lines before? I have traveled HAL and Regent before and am interested to hear how O compares. Any advice for an Oceania first-timer like me? :)
