  1. We have done one HAL cruise and many on Disney and NCL. We liked HAL for Alaska last year, but we are about 50 and we were some of the younger people on board. I describe the average people on this cruise as Senior Citizens and their parents. Not much night life, pretty quiet. Great Service. After Alaska again this year on HAL, we are going on MSC Seaside, which looks to be nice ship for the Caribbean. NCL is a good choice for nice ships and a good mix of ages, not too much partying and good night life.

  2. I just got off the January 9th sailing and the smoke in the 678 area was bad worst on 6 near Le Bistro and Headliners.

There is a some other type of allergy/dust issue on this ship also. Whenever we were inside either our sinus stuffed up or we had respiratory issues, as soon as we went outside it cleared up. Allergy pills made it worse for us.

Didn't have the issue on desk 5 by the Splash Acad.

We had a balcony room on deck 12 and after five days my cell phone had a good layer of dust on the screen.

Just about every time we got in the elevator and talked with others many had the same issues.

The ship was great otherwise, hope they figure out the air quality issue.

  3. We were also on the Escape debarking January 16. We got in line about 9 am and it was back up in to the 678 atrium for both the front and rear gangways. Others we know left about 8 am walked off at the rear gangway.

It took us just under two hours from when we got in line to get off to when we were at the curb to catch out taxi.
