Does anyone know if you can still pay to have your luggage taken to your airline upon disembarkation? This service was offered in FLL last time we cruised about 5 years ago. This service allowed you to place your bags outside your door the last night of the cruise and not see them again till your arrival airport baggage claim. Cruising again out of FLL and are getting a ton of credits. If we have some left, this might be an attractive option.
TIA

Will you be on a cruise before then?
Actually Yes...leaving on the Royal 10/4. Guess I'll find out then!

My old Coffee card has a 12/31/19 expiration date stamped on it. Wonder if that will make any difference?

Yes I was referring to the Emerald Hawaii trip leaving Vancouver BC Oct 4th. I did a false booking on the Princess site, and under options it only shows transfers from Vancouver Airport to the cruise terminal...Nothing about transfers from Sea-Tac. I know there are other companies which provide these transfers, however, given the distance/weather etc...I would prefer one where the ship will wait for you, should the coach be delayed.
I am a little surprised Princess apparently stopped this service, given how much easier it is to book air through SEA-Tac.

This is an old thread, but I am interested in the same Sea-Vancouver transfer this October 4th:cool:. Called Princess and they didn't know anything about it. I wonder if they are no more. Anyone with info, it would be appreciated!

Recently got off a B2B on the Regal. Just realized that we were not asked to fill out the usual custom form, nor were we asked if we were bringing in any bottles of alcohol. Very unusual! :cool:Is this a new policy?
TIA:cool:

If you bought it first segment, it is delivered first segment. At least for 7 day B2B Caribbean cruises. They also let you hand carry bottles back to your room if bought on the day before disembarkation for the first segment, from ships stores.

Our first cruise was on our honeymoon in 1987 on the Oceanic as well! 30 years married and counting. Also about 40 cruises and no longer counting!

The threat of losing out on onboard credit if we have to cancel a cruise is one of the reasons I like to have more than one FCD in reserve for DH and me.
Pretty much as I expected. Thanks for everyone's responses.

Just had to cancel Nov 26th Regal cruise due to mom's hospitalization. Fully covered by our platinum Princess insurance.
Question: Will the FCC used to book cruise be redeposited, or will we receive the purchased value as compensation, and lose the future use of the FCC and it's potential on board credits.

We are on the 11/26 cruise on the Regal and are in one of the ***** rooms. We have had the first contact to establish our wristband sizes and told we would have a second contact, but that hasn't happened yet. No ***** has shown up in our mailbox yet, but we are still hopeful; we did read a post by someone on the 11/18 cruise roll call that they wouldn't get theirs until they were at the port. That means we on the 11/26 may be the first to get the OMs via mail.
We are on the Nov 26th and Dec 3rd cruises. Have heard nothing. How was the "first contact" established. Did you receive an email...call...or what. Thanks for your response.

In other words is that special provision for all USVI islands or just St Thomas?
-
Just herd that St Croix will replace St Thomas on our upcoming Regal Cruise. Does any one know if all the Virgin islands including St Croix , have the same more liberal customs laws as St Thomas, allowing for duty free liquor brought back home. I believe it's 4 bottles (an extra one if it's a USVI rum totaling 5 per person) vs 1 per person everywhere else!

About 10 years ago X offered wine blending for free for their loyalty members. I believe it was sponsored by Kendal Jackson wineries. It was a blast. Took quite the buzz from all the variations attempted.

I saw that you can order drinks via the Medallion APP for delivery. I hope this includes the coffee drinks in the International Cafe.
I noticed on last years Regal trip that the number of coffee drink waiters in the IC was drastically reduced (and service reduced) from Grand Class ships. They seemed to be pushing people to use their Starbucks like order and pickup lane. I travel with my elderly parents and my wife also has medical issues, and greatly appreciate the service. (I'm not gifted at carrying multiple drinks myself) Especially since they still charge the gratuity for the coffee cards.
The Medallion App would be great for this!

Does anyone know the prices for transfers to the airports in FLL and MIA from the ship to Port Everglades..
I know this is not the cost effective approach but we are traveling with my elderly parents and it is easier getting them on a bus, than waiting in the usual chaotic taxi line.
Thanks,
Mark:cool:

"Slightly cheaper" by how much? And what category?
I was looking at BE balconies (cheapest non obstructed) on the Regal leaving on Nov 26th. The total difference was about $100 total if I remember correctly. There was a similar situation for the 14 day cruise leaving on Nov 19th I think. One issue, is if you include the cruise credits offered for FCC, Shareholder, and military credits, the 14 day trip came out a very slightly better deal. Haven't booked yet, no hurry as we can be flexible.
-
I suppose because the entertainment and menus are totally different for all 14 days..whereas on two 7 nighters, everything repeats....
No I am speaking of the exact same 14 days on the same cruiseship. Only difference is if you book it as a B2B it is slightly cheaper, than if you book it as a single 14 day cruise.

Anyone notice 14 day trips RT FLL are more expensive than the two 7 day trips combined. I ran into it several times while looking at prices form online discount TA's.

Thanks Pam. i guess I was hoping for an IC substitute away from the Casino. Seems like this would have been a great place to put the IC instead of where they did. Oh well...sounds like it may suffice, in the AM anyway.
-
This sounds like a coffee/pastry shop. Is this correct?
TIA
-
Looks like Explorere's lounge is right next to the IC, I guess you could take your coffee and food in there if the smoke kicked up. Also I see a Le Patesserie on deck 5. That sounds like coffee and pastrys. Am I correct?
-
DW is a former smoker and hates smelling smoke from ships Casinos. Just noticed the Corals IC is just out side Casino door. My elderly parents will be accompanying us and love the IC. Can you smell Casino smoke from the sitting areas for the IC,
Thanks for your comments in advance.

We are leaving on our cruise in two weeks. I have $900 in Amex gift cards that princess has already said they won't accept as pre-payment. I can buy princess gift cards with them. I can't find a way to apply the princess gift cards to our account. Anyone know a way? Or will I need to apply a bunch of cards when we get onboard?
Thanks for your help!
It's my understanding that you can use your Princess gift card to pay for your cruise. Just call and give the number to your TA.

You are lucky. We are still on board the ship. Our cabin steward last week said the supply side of this ship is the worst he had ever been on. Last week, no wash cloths, and our bed was made up as twins, when he changed them he couldn't get a queen size comforter. Had to join two twin size ones. This week he corrected that, but today said he was having a real problem supplying toilet paper. He ordered it, but his supply never came. ...He just dropped off a single roll he managed to find somewhere. I guess tomorrow in Belize City Princess employees may be fanning out to buy TP. Just kidding, but I wouldn't be surprised. Just in time inventory only works when it's JUST IN TIME! One last thing. Went to many bars including Vines to get either 2 wine glasses, or chanp glasses to drink our 2 bottles we brought onboard in our cabin. No Luck at any. Saw many in the dining rooms, and everywhere else hurricane glasses.
