  1. Can you make it ?

    Most likely.

What's your back up plan though?

Got enough to pay change fees?

Got enough for a couple of days for hotels and meals?

True enough. They changed the flight I had booked so my choices are now to leave at 10:55 or spend an extra night in Fort Lauderdale or over night in Montreal.

  2. the price difference was the reason we booked navigator for our spring break trip next year. Stinks it's only a 6 nighter but i wasn't paying the difference of $1000+ for one extra night on a different ship. I would love to go on one of the new giant ships with all the crazy stuff they have but i cant justify the price difference and won't sacrifice a balcony for an inside with a baby.

We feel the same way, that's why we booked the Navigator. Balcony is a must have for us and the other ships in April 2016 are over $1000 more and only one night in the difference.

  3. Oh my gosh...thank you all very much! My youngest son, who spent a week in Jamaica last June, also confirmed a bit ago that they had rain every single day...but not more than an hour! He said it was often overcast after the rain, but didn't put a damper on any of their activities. He did say the humidity was a BEAST, though!

And I heard from Mr. Sancho's AI Beach / Resort: Hola!: Full deposit back if you don't show up. Kind regards, Mr. Sancho's

So...that makes me feel so much better. And the excursion booked through resortforaday.com's is no refund on deposit, but no charge if you show. Which is not as good as Mr. Sancho's, but not a complete waste if we decide not to go.

Umbrellas & rain ponchos hadn't been on our packing list...but I think they are now. Keep the advice coming, and know that I appreciate all the advice for our first cruise. :)

We didn't make it to Mr Sancho's and they did not refund our deposit.........

  4. We were unable to make our cruise do to major travel problems. Our rbc insurance would not cover us for the reason we could not make it. We called Royal Caribbean & told them we were in route but would not make our cruise. They were amazing, refunded us our port charges & told us when we made it back home to pick out another cruise. They were under no obligation to do this. I was impressed beyond words. We had lost the rest of our airfare but are happy to say we have our cruise rebooked for next year [emoji4] Royal Caribbean has my business for life! they went above and beyond for us.

  5. It says online that they are $250

Ok, thanks. We are going to Labadee for the first time next year on the Navigator. I hope we love it as much as we did Coco cay.

  6. We always go a day or two ahead of cruise departure since we are flying so far. We have stayed in a few places in Fort Lauderdale, but have used the Embassy Suites the last 3 or 4 times. Not overly fancy but close to the port, has shopping nearby, close walk to the water taxi, and across the street from Duffy's where we go for a few drinks and appetizers. They have a shuttle service to the port which is fairly cheap. You might want to check it out too

Thanks I will check it out [emoji4]

  7. Last stay was at Hyatt Regency Pier 66 but we usually stay at Lago Mar which is a little more pricey. Hyatt Regency was nice but Lago Mar is ocean front with a view of the ships leaving. It's only a short walk to the breachway along the beach.

I will check into them thanks :)

  8. It's hard to know what cruise to pick. Just found the navigator out of Fort Lauderdale for $800 cheaper but one night shorter cruise, but still 3 ports. Decisions, decisions. What is Fort Lauderdale like to spend a couple nights pre cruise? Much to do? Also seems cheaper to book with bogo with $200 OBC than crown & anchor rate.

  9. Freedom has gone through the big drydock and the mini touch up recently but by the time you go it might be after Liberty has been touchedup.

Florida you could make a day of it to go to Cape Canaveral if you have't been and its less than an hour to all the attractions orlando offers.
