Good Morning Princess cruisers!
We have booked the Coral Princess in February 2025 for the Panama Canal (West to East). My question is regarding the pre/post cruise hotels that are offered in LA and in Fort Lauderdale. The information that shows says that transportation from airport to hotel and then to the cruise terminal is included. Or cruise terminal to hotel to airport.
Has anyone gone through Princess for their pre/post cruise? If so, how was your experience?
Reason, is that we did a pre cruise (through another line) and no one showed up at the hotel to pick up to take us to the cruise terminal.
Thanks for all input.

Looking forward to your travels. We are looking at this cruise. Just from LA to Ft. Lauderdale in February 2025.
Keep up the great pictures !

Great review!
We are going on the Noordam 18 day cruisetour leaving on August 6th. Your review gave us good insight what to expect in the ports (and at sea).
One question, was the main dining room strict on the dress code. My hubby really does not want to bring slacks. So, would his really nice dress shorts be ok to wear?
We are also dining at Canaletto's one night.
Thoughts? or better yet, observations?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance on going to the Yukon. My hubby and myself are booked on the HAL 18 day cruisetour leaving on August 6th from Vancouver. I know (by the comments) that the time in Dawson will not be enough, but it will give us a reason to return.

My hubby and I are considering the 18-day Alaska cruise/tour leaving Vancouver on August 6, 2023. Would like your opinions/thoughts on why you choose this particular cruise/tour?

Hi
Hubby and I will be on AOS in a couple of weeks w/ same schedule. Did you feel the Premium drink package is worth it even being in Aruba until 10pm?
-
Thanks Bob - that was the link I was looking for!

Awhile back someone had posted a link to look at actual pictures of cabins on Adventure (actually any Royal ship).
Can someone help me and re-post the link - I'm looking for Adventure of the Seas - cabin 9390 - aft
Thanks - Happy Sailing!

I personally take sundresses to wear in the evening - NO pants except for the pair I have to travel in. Why wear pants in the sunny and warm Caribbean? Oh, of course 4 swimsuits - takes time to dry a suit. Shorts during the day and a few tops - this is what usually over pack.
I always take a light weight cardigan to wear at night.
But, take what you are comfortable wearing in your summer months.
I try to pack at least a week before leaving, weigh the suitcase, then re-look at what I have packed - eliminate and/or add. (Or add to hubby suitcase)!
Yes, I usually over pack, but trying to buy something that is missed is a pain.
This is only our 5th cruise, but we do go to Aruba each year, so I pack the same....only thing different is the formal wear...which we really like to go all out.

Thank you - Thank you - Thank you!!!
Just what I had been looking for...it's great to know what nights are the formal nights and what other activities are scheduled each day/night.

We went back to the Intercontinental a little after 1:00 and checked in. The person who checked in beside us had a room that was ready, but ours wasn’t yet. The person who checked us in made it sound like it wouldn’t be too long before ours was ready and said we could go wait in the bar – she even gave us each a drink coupon to get a beer while we waited. We were thinking it’d be 30-45minutes but it took right until 4:00 to get a room. I know 4:00 is the official check in time but so many people were checking in and heading upstairs (presumably, to their rooms) that it was disappointing to stare out the windows at the gorgeous pool.
Waiting:
By the time we were able to drop off our bags to our room we were a little grumpy (especially after being in a crowded elevator with a group of very drunk people on the way to our room – they reeked of alcohol). Our room was good, nothing special. The bed was comfy, the safe worked, the bathroom was a little dingy but functional (and actually didn’t seem too bad later after the light was on for a bit, they must take a while to get to their full brightness). We went back down to the pool and had a lovely swim. The pool really is fantastic. The beach looked nice too but we didn’t end up spending any time there. Oh, you need a wristband to use the pool and they change colours every day. The wristbands are plastic and I hated having it on my wrist (I slipped it off and on when I didn’t need it, thankfully it was loose enough). I hope they recycle those wristbands – seems like a waste of plastic to me. The pool was much warmer than the pool at the Marriott Stellaris, where we stayed after our last cruise.
Hotel pics:
Thanks for the pics - hubby and I will be at the same hotel in a month for our pre-cruise stay.
One hint on hotels - join the hotel loyalty program, seems you can get better service (and room choice). This info given to me from a hotel manager.

Hi -
Posted a similar question on the Curacao forum with no results.
Has anyone done the Aqua boat tour in Curacao?
This is a tour offered through RC.
I cannot locate any review on any board - either here or TripAdvisor.....Help!
Thanks - we are scheduled to be on this island in Feb.

I will be renting a tux, and I will be on that same sailing! If nothing else, the two of us will be in tuxes!

Glad to hear that!

Thanks for the link - We are at 45 days and I did the on-line check in yesterday.
I'm sure I will get my e-mail with the documents in the next couple of days.
-
Thanks Bob - I had a feeling that would be the answer....
Does RC still send (snail mail) a package to cruisers and in that package is the tux rental info?

Good Morning
My husband and I are cruising on Adventure on Feb 15th. He is thinking of renting a tux. We really like to "dress up" on formal nights plus saves space in packing (more room for my stuff).
But, after reading a bunch of comments on the message boards, we are wondering if anyone actually dresses up this much anymore on RC.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks

HI - has anyone done the Aquaboat tour? My husband and I are looking at this tour in February 2015. This tour is through Royal Caribbean.
Thanks for any info on this.

If you are looking for a great on-shore restaurant - try Que Pasa - and it is not a Mexican restaurant
It is Dutch food w/ a Aruba flair. It is off the beaten path, but worth the trip and yes it is within walking distance from the port.
Or even Driftwood is good (although I have not been there in a few years).
I agree look at http://www.resturantsaruba.com - this site offers current customer reviews.

Had to weigh in on this topic - I booked last week for AOS Feb 2015 and had my choice of dining times. This will be the first time w/ MTD so I'm hoping we like it better than the late dining. As for the pre-payment of gratuities - I don't have a problem as it will be one less thing to have to worry about on the ship.
-
The tux rental is there - just have to set it up before you cruise. My hubby does this every time we cruise - space saver and the tux fits! Would be great to have a gown rental - but the cost would be horrible.

I need to know if anyone stayed in room 1530 thru 1534 or 1230 thru 1236 - Did you hear a lot of noise from the fitness equipment above?
thanks!
-
Has anyone stayed on Deck 10 Forward under the Fitness center/Spa - did the room get noisy? If so, how early?
-
Have used Pelican twice for snorkel trips - I would recommend.
-
Saw that there was not a reply - Yes Moomba is really nice - we wear our swimwear at the bar - there is actually 2 bars and dining there. As for shopping - you will need to be on the main road - there is a lot of shopping on that road - (the name escapes me and we were there in Feb).
