Hurricane Dorian Update 8/29 9:25PM ET:

The safety and security of our guests and crew is always our top priority. Due to Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean, we have modified the following itineraries for Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun.

    Norwegian Breakaway – August 25, 2019 Sailing
As scheduled, Norwegian Breakaway will call to Cozumel, Mexico on Friday, August 30, 2019. At this time, we are uncertain if the ship will be able to return to Miami, Florida on Sunday, September 1, as planned. As such, the ship will extend its time and overnight in Cozumel until September 1, departing at 5 p.m. During this time, guests will have the option to conclude their cruise and arrange their return home or remain on board. Guests who choose to end their cruise in Cozumel will receive a 25% future cruise credit.

We welcome and encourage guests to remain on board and will provide an update on the anticipated return date to Miami by 8 p.m. or sooner on Friday, August 30.

    Norwegian Breakaway – September 1, 2019 Sailing
We are closely monitoring the storm and will provide an update by 8 p.m. or sooner Friday, August 30, 2019.

    Norwegian Sky – August 26, 2019 Sailing
Norwegian Sky will no longer call to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas and instead will return to Miami, Florida a day early on Friday, August 30, 2019. Guests will have the opportunity to remain on board until 7 a.m. on August 31. Due to the shortened cruise, all guests will receive a 20% refund from the original cruise fare paid.

    Norwegian Sky – August 31, 2019 Sailing
We are closely monitoring the storm and will provide an update by 3 p.m. or sooner on Friday, August 30, 2019.

    Norwegian Sun - August 29, 2019 Sailing
Norwegian Sun departed from Port Canaveral, Florida Thursday, August 29, 2019 as scheduled. The calls to Nassau, Great Stirrup Cay and Freeport, Bahamas have been cancelled. Instead, the ship will spend a day at sea on Friday, August 30 and will call to Cozumel, Mexico on August 31. She will remain at sea on September 1 and is scheduled to return to Port Canaveral on September 2.

Guests who booked shore excursions for any of the original port of calls through our shore excursion team, will receive a refund credited to their onboard account.

We are closely monitoring the storm and will communicate any additional itinerary modifications as needed.

  3. I had the premium package on the Bliss in July for two weeks. Worked perfectly the whole time. I did have to visit the Internet Cafe between cruises to have them remove cached info in their system Other than that, no issue.

  6. Was mid to high 70’s most of last week. Not very smoky at all. We’re in Victoria currently and it’s overcast and a bit chilly. Thus far, they are predicting similar weather next week. I hope so, as we still have seven more days to go. Didn’t notice any mosquitoes but I suppose they are there.

  7. It's worth noting, if any of your excursions go into Canada, you may have to show your passport or other documentation. The cruise ship will let you know if that's the case. We had to in 2013 when we took a bus through Canada after getting off the White Pass Railway.

We just got off of Bliss today. They let port side view for a half hour and then turned so starboard side could view. So beautiful!

Thanks. How was the weather during your trip?

Our PCC is good. He doesn't call and annoy or try to sell us cruises and has been very responsive via email or phone when we've either needed to make changes to a cruise or cancel one. Earlier this year, when I emailed him after business hours to cancel a cruise, not expecting to hear back from him until the next day or even day or two after, I got a response within 15 minutes that my cruise has been canceled and my CruiseNext deposit refunded.

I wouldn't say they're worthless, as ours has helped us, as well as family and friends, book and make changes to cruises without having to call the general number and wait on hold - though I have booked at least one cruise via the general number when he was a new-to-us-PCC. We typically email him and do everything that way to book, and he makes things really easy for us.

This has been my experience as well. We love our PCC.

Thanks everyone.  So we can get there early, drop off our checked bags and then walk over to the Intrepid.  We would definitely make sure that we get back to the ship in plenty of time.

    Yes, no issues at all.

get in line for a Teppanyaki reservation since you can't make then ahead of time.

Since when? I've made them ahead of time on seven cruises thus far, no issues at all.

    For me, run for Vibe!

We were thinking to use it to keep in touch with our other parties who are on different decks, so we can find each other etc...  I wasn't certain how the reception is and if it really works.

Everyone I know who has used it for that, said it worked very well. It's the spotty Internet you pay an arm and leg for that's questionable.

  13. The app is free. The only cost associated with it is for onboard talk and text. Whether or not it's worth it, depends on how much you need to be tied to your phone. We use it for some things, never calling or text though.

*Calling and Messaging Package has a nominal one-time fee for making unlimited onboard calls and messages during your cruise.
