The wings were terrible.  I could’ve dealt with the baked wings if they were cooked at a higher temperature.   They really were brutal.  I think my favorite thing there was the nachos which they didn’t have on the late night menu.

Guess its true, to each their own.

On another note, was thinking of trying out the cabanas on the Prima this year but one thing I can't figure out, since its not yet available.

Cost of cabana.    Does the 649 include the 2 person Vibe pass?   Or is it ultimately 500 plus 650 for cabana for 2?

  2. Question to be answered at a later date.   Will Sakari get any of the double points that you have received over the years or is it just the single ones (assuming you took a cruise with double points offered).   I just turned Platinum and wonder if my son will too in a few years.   Thanks

  3. Love the Review so far!

They put us in the Miami terminal after a Bermuda cancellation and had to do the customs in there in February.   It was a disaster as far as seating went.   Some things never change.

In defense of Mr No Help:    Well his driving sucked for sure.    However, since Covid, Uber drivers are told not to touch other peoples luggage unless disability necessity.    I am sure many no longer abide by that rule anymore for tips, but it is supposed to be a rule.    And the driver didn't bill you for the extra 20 bucks although his incompetency lead to it.   He gets paid by the mile and time, and if that goes over the expected miles/time, uber will bill the occupant.

I drove for uber until a few months ago part time.   I guess I still do, I just haven't.

    Anyways Look forward to more!

  4. I was on this cruise.   Everything he did that I did, I agree.

I dealt with the kids club a bit more.   If you were not there 30 minutes prior to opening, your kid was not getting in.

I got the Thermospa instead of the VIbe for my peace and quiet.   Didn't have much time to go since the splash academy was always full.    But when I did, it was great...but considerably worse than breakaway and others.   Unisex sauna and steam rooms were meh.   The best part of the breakaway sauna is being above the bridge.   The thermopool has a little nuance to it as well.   The metal sit down area?   Breakaway is too long....Getaways is too short.    Cant win I guess.

My biggest complaint about the MDR is they replaced the lasagna with baked Ziti.   Hard pass.

My son and I had a blast.   Our steward was great, and everyone was trying.

Oh and there are many complaints about Osheehans buffalo wings not being fried.    I was mad too!

    However...TRY them!   They are excellent!!!

Your ship will be the first NCL overnight call in Bermuda this year. By all reports NCL will be providing the ferry service to St. George, but whether it will resume with your cruise isn't known.

When you get back please let us know, I sail the 15th

My husband and I are both registered under one email. I just logged in and added both registrations to the single email and the appointment time I got says that it is for two guests and two tests so I am not sure they all need separate appointments. It is very confusing and there seems to be little to no direction about what to do a lot of times with the testing. I also received expired kits and called and was told that they are still ok. I am hoping so because if this doesn't work out the only place that I can go is Expresstests in Attleboro, MA and pay the $99 each to try and get another test.

Bermuda requires a supervised at home test.  This is done online - and one of the things they check is expiration dates.  Im sure you will get a correct reading; just not sure it will be accepted.

I am too thin blooded to go to the beach in Bermuda in April. It was too cool for me in May.

March and April are whale watching season in Bermuda. That is what I would be doing in April on a Sunday.in Bermuda I would check the Island Tour Centre and see if they have any whale watching tours on Easter Sunday.

ah great thanks for the tip!

The one thing that bothered me was that a number of ports were not open or had limited things open on certain days of holy week.

ya, thats going to be bermuda, which is always closed on sunday, so I anticipate it being...well...super closed?

Shops are normally closed on Sunday. Usually there are shops open at the Dockyard on Sunday for cruise ships but I don't know about Easter. Easter is a big traditional weekend holiday starting on Good Friday. Big kite flying day. Sunday religous services. Restaurants will have Easter brunch. April is not considered beach weather. Both air and water temperature tend to be cool then. Since you are from New England that might be okay for you. There is a 25% surcharge for taxis on Sunday. There will likely be minibus service to Horseshoe Beach which is $7 per person shared ride. Given Covid and everything and little travel to Bermuda any info is dated.

Ya I imagine all of this to be true.  but this is april vacation week so a cold beach day is better than a warm work/school day.   Thanks for your input.

  10. So has anyone experienced Easter on a cruise ship?   Does anything special happen - does someone in the Kids club dress up as the bunny or something?

Obviously precovid, I'm not really looking for speculation as to what may be, rather what has been.

    TIA

  11. I booked NCL to Bermuda April 15-22 2022.   She will be in Bermuda on Easter Sunday.   Aside from the facts of it being A: Early for cruising in Bermuda, B: Post Covid and C : A Sunday in General in Bermuda, Does anyone know if anything special happens on the Island?    Or if it is in Complete Shut Down Mode, despite a ship being docked there?

I Imagine some things will be closed.   I am just hopeful if nothing else we will be able to get a taxi to the beach and back (and the store there will be open).

    Thanks

  12. I was on her Jan 2020, so one of the last to do so.   It's a great ship, and we had a fantastic time.   We loved the Spa and highly recommended getting the package, as it is a great place to relax in relative privacy pending you are not in a suite (in fact we got the spa balcony which if getting the spa and the balcony will save you a few bucks).

I will be willing to bet the shows are different than what we saw (hated six but to each their own), but we had trouble booking the shows both at home and while on the ship.   They just sell out way too fast.    Oh well, back to the thermospa we went 🙂

One night, I arrived for dinner, and was seated quickly, but a waiter never came... After about fifteen minutes, I just got up and left. From what I understand, the waiter that was supposed to be in charge of my section got reamed out by his superiors. I didn't want to get the guy in trouble, I just wanted to eat...

ah yes   I have had that happen to me at a chain that rhymes with longborn.   sometimes you just get seated in that in between spot I guess.   Glad you didn't let it bother you!
