lol thank you I was thinking more that  more than one of the appetisers were appealing ...I doubt i would eat more than 1 entree but might prefer  2 appetisers then skip to dessert 

Hi I am a new cruiser with Holland America  and would like to know if when dining at the Tamarind  what the the $25 flat rate covers ?

Is it 1 appetiser, 1 entree and 1 dessert? Or are you able to try more than 1 dish in each category?

Seems it was not a non refundable and we get 2 of the four perks which we are delighted about 

Still unsure if it was HAL that came thru or our lovely TA

We have booked , 4 Adults 2 cabins balconies VS .. sept 2020 Nieuw Statendam.when we booked over 4mths ago , we asked about perks advertised for Hal cruises to be told they didnt apply at the time and would most likely arise at a later date and our booking would be adjusted and I assume and charged more for the 'PERKS"

A day ago I read about HAL incentivising early bookings for 2020 & 2021  cruises with PGrill dinner , signature beverage package and a couple of other perks that were not applicable  such a 50%reduced dep (which we have already paid) and discount on 3 & 4 person

I asked TA  to check for us ...she came back that she had contacted Hal to be told yes we were to get PGrill and Bev package

30mins later another email saying Hal had emailed again to say they had it wrong 

what would you say to that?

Can any one give me advice on where to purchase wine upon boarding a HAL cruise aboard the Nieuw Statendam Sept 2020 from Amsterdam

I am contemplating buying wine  before we embark and paying the $18 corkage

Is there a good wine shop close to port?

Perhaps like Barcelona there is a wine shop after you have passed thru check in and security?

I am thinking this  might be more economical than the wine packages offered on HAL?

Would appreciate any input

I guess it depends where you are going when you disembark

Taxis are easy to get but expensive we paid 100 euros to get from Cannareggio area to Marco Polo Airport

Im exploring alternatives this time as we are on the same Cruise...maybe the water bus ....not looked at cruise transfer as we are staying for a few days after cruise
