  1. This is kind of a silly question, but one that has been bothering me for a while. I know that flip-flops in the MDR are considered a no-no, but what about for ladies? I'm not talking about the cheapie dollar store flip-flops. But what about dressy flats that have the flip-flop style? What about on elegant night? I have dressy dress, but because I'm very tall, and will be holding a baby, I prefer to wear flats. ..... Thoughts??

  2. Thanks for letting us know! We also booked with butts up (for DH and big kids) to go cave tubing and I'll just stay on the boat with the baby.

I had to LOL at your comment on the kids eating graham crackers !! That will SO be my kids too!!!!

  3. Awesome!!! Thank you :)

My little guy is soooo close to climbing out of his packn play, and this is NOT a skill I want him to perfect on our cruise! I was hoping (and hope they still are) like your picture. Thanks

  4. When choosing a room is there a deck or area you would NOT pick ??

Anyone have experience with doing 2 rooms and having carnival choose rooms in order to get a better price? Like a super saver rate?? Was it worth it??

  5. Ohhh! I'm going I a few weeks with kids similar ages and have the same dilemma!! I like your idea of sending hubby with older kids to cave tube, while I stay with baby (we have a one yr old) OR having ALL of us go to goffs to beach (big kids/dad can snorkel). I too worry about shade though if it's going to be a long day???

  6. We need help deciding which one for snorkeling? It will be me, husband and our 4 kids (ages 1, 7, 9, 10). Baby will not snorkel so one adult will be with him. 7 yr old might chicken out. Other 2 are very strong swimmers and have snorkeled many times. Which place is best for our situation?? Caye caulker sounds and looks neat.... But from what I read, goff caye you snorkel from shore? That might be better for us???

    Any tour group recommendations??

  7. Thank you! I can't imagine staying on the ship. The whole reason we are cruising is to show our children the world that is out there. (The older kids). I will look into cucumber beach and the zoo. Thanks for the tips! :)

  8. Cruising carnival in May with our 1 yr old, 6, 9, 10 yr olds. Most of the tours and such seem to be geared towards 8 and up. I'm ok with just walking around port area if there is anything interesting to see?? Would love to get a feel for the country..... But also not wanting to take an hour bus ride with a baby. Thoughts??? Beaches nearby we could walk to? Taxi to? Without a prepaid excursion??

  9. We will be on carnival legend in May with our children, one of which is just 1yr old and not walking yet. We have a baby trend jogging stroller that we LOVE and the baby loves and he does awesome in it. Are we crazy for bringing this beast on the cruise??? (The stroller, not the baby!)

We are planning on just carrying him (in wearable baby carrier) 80% of the time on the ship and really using stroller in ports. I don't want to be known as "that crazy lady with the stroller" but I do want my baby happy

We do not have an umbrella stroller, nor of we plan on buying one. The nice ones are 75$+ and that just seems silly for a one time use. And the cheap ones are too hard to maneuver!! (We are tall)
