Just doesn't make sense re date order?

Cruise was 26th Mch, applied as soon as I could and past the 90 days now and still owed £5300.

I wonder how they are being processed?

I can't answer why some of us have gotten ours processed sooner than others. That's why I put all my info in there. We know a lot of people are working at home so I wonder if any of it depends on who gets yours and then who it gets sent to for final processing. Maybe you can call to ask if your's has been held up for some reason and make sure everything was received.

  2. I have received my full refund for my May 3rd cruise on the Encore that was cancelled by NCL. I received an E-mail when the cruise was cancelled and in 2 days received another 2 e-mails one explaining how the refunds would be dispersed and the other with my returned cruise-next certs.

I applied for the cash refund on April 15th and did receive an e-mail confirmation that said it would take 90 days.

On May 20th my add-ons (water package and other things I added after) were credited back to my credit card.

On June 24th I received an E-mail ( same as Pollyanne dreamgirl ).

Money was credited back to my credit card today for full balance owed.

I never called NCL just followed their instructions per their e-mails and they did as they said they would. I was fully refunded 75 days out. I had been reading these threads about the refunds and see a lot of people have been very upset with how long it has been taking. I understand that many need the money asap but try to remember nothing like whats going on has ever happened during our lifetimes.

I didn't like having to wait any more than anyone else did but I realized this is not the norm.

Right now there are many things I don't like but I feel we just have to make the best of it. I'm focusing on what I can do and what I do have instead of the bad.

I hope everyone is refunded soon and stays in good health until we can cruise again.

  3. I got it figured out. This site wanted the zip code on the first line 1 and then the address on 2 with the State on 3. I finally got it to go thru. I would had preferred to use a hotel I could have just booked from a US site but they there wasn't one where I wanted to stay. I'm going to Windsor first 2 nights and from the location I will be able to walk to the castle and other things. Then on to Southampton for 2 nights then cruise then back to the airport for 1 night for a morning non-stop flight back to Phoenix. I will also stay at a airport hotel for the last night.

  4. JB,

Thanks very much for your Help. I went back on and tried again another way. It would have been helpful if the site had been labeled where each part of the address went. The area I put the postal code in was 1, with the street address in 2, my State in the 3 with the town in it's own box along with another box at the end for the country. Once I did that It went thru. After I did this I remembered Ok that was what the other sited did last time. What was throwing me off was that this site (same as the other site I used last time) was using line 1 for the postal code. The Postal code is always at the very end here.

Again Thank you for your help!  I got the room booked!  😁

  5. Does anyone here know how when doing a England booking with a US address to put in the US address. I've done this once before but have lost my info and can't get the online booking for a England Hotel to accept my address. I used the tab that was for a non England address. It has a line 1, 2, 3, plus area for town and country. I know there is a certain order but can't figure it out! No matter how I put it in it keeps saying invalid address!

It would cost way to much to try and call.

  6. JB,

Thank you for the information. It's very helpful. 🙂

Now if I can just figure out how to put my US address on UK forms. Yours are different format and no matter how I put it in it keeps saying invalid. Nowhere can I find any instructions on how to do it. I don't want to call as that will cost too much and am always put on hold. I did send an e-mail to the hotel but who know when they will respond.

You don't by any chance know how to do this like what part of my address goes on each line and where my zip code goes? I've tried several ways and nothing works even though I am using the part that says not UK address. 🙁

    Hi JB,

I'll be staying at a LHR airport 2 days pre-cruise and will need transportation from there to a Southampton hotel. If I take a oversize bag that may also be a few lbs overweight can I just pay them for it at boarding. Also when I board do I give my bags to the driver right there to put on the bus while I can see that they get on the same bus as I and will the Express go all the way to the Southampton station without stopping anywhere else?

My fear is that I won't be able to take my carry on bag in the bus and they will lose it. I will have a lg suitcase, wheeled carry on and a tote. I know the tote is allowed on the bus with me but there is no way I can fit all my important stuff I need to bring in it.

I have never used public bus transportation, only the transports provided by the cruise lines or taxi's. ( I have always lived where their is no bus service) My mom once took a trip using a bus for part of it and they made her put her carry on in the luggage area under the bus and THEY LOST IT! It was found 3 weeks later and they did ship it too her but it caused her so much stress.

When I pack for trips I always pack some clothes in my carry on along with other stuff I have to have so in case the airport loses my checked bag I'll have a few things I can get by with. I'm trying to find private transportation but it's not easy.

  8. I just got through booking the 7 night on the Golden out of Melbourne that is 2 days after I get off of the Majestic in Jan 2020. I have my Princess PVP checking on flight prices to see if I can get a better deal than booking it myself. I will have to fly from Sydney to Melbourne after I get off the Majestic. I'll have 2 days in Melbourne then board the Golden. I plan on having 3 night in Sydney pre Majestic cruise. 😎

  9. I just booked the NCL Spirit 12 nt Norway & the Artic  Summer Solstice for June 14th. NCL had a price drop and a reduced solo supplement. I noticed this on a few of their other cruises for this summer. You have to do a mock booking because it doesn't show until you're on the page that you pick the type of cabin you want. I picked a sail away BX. I checked out a lot of photos and info about things like obstructed and also know there are a few extra small balcony cabins on this ship but they were all acceptable to me for the price in case that's what I get. For a few hundred more you could pick one that had the 2 perks but you would still get a gty cabin.  I don't drink so it wasn't worth it to me.

Now I have to book everything else. I plan on going a few days ahead. This cruise sets sail out to Southampton. This is another 'bucket list' cruise for me. I already have a 13nt AU/NZ  planned for Jan 2020 and am going to add another 7 night to that trip that does the southern part of Australia.

    Hello Everyone

I have always booked through princess web site is there any benifts  with booking with the rep over the phone at princess

Yes there can be. I use the PVP assigned to me and Often gotten some much better deals that didn't show up on the website. I just booked a cruise 2 days ago under a CAS deal that didn't show up on website. Here's how the pricing went. This pricing was all for the same room that I picked.

Regular princess on sale pricing with current promo  $5,100 + $600 OBC + 1 special meal.

    CAS offer that I had was $3,600 + $600 OBC + 1 special meal + $150 casino cash

These were the deals that showed up online for me.

I called the PVP to book under the CAS and she told me 'wait a min while I check to see if you have anything else.' After a couple of min she came back and told me she found another even better unadvertised CAS deal for me.

$2,800 + $600 OBC +1 special meal + $150 casino cash. (yes deposit is refundable) That's $800 I just saved. This is not a last min. cruise but one for next year.

There have also been times when my PVP calls me with some really great unadvertised deals that you may only get by them calling you.

  12. I just booked a R/T 13 nt Sidney to NZ. for Jan 8, 2020 on the Majestic Princess near the aft in a balcony. I know it's a long way off but I was able to use a good CAS deal with 600 OBC, 150 casino cash and a specialty meal.

I'm also thinking about adding another cruise to this one to take in Southern AUS. while I'm there as well as some land time. Need to get the most out of the long plane ride! I'll have a lot of planning to do.

  13. I totally agree with your comment. It's just so much more peaceful because you have to wait on no one. I am going on Grandeur from Baltimore to Bermuda the end of October but my husband is going along this time because it is my one year anniversary of finding out I had ovarian cancer. I am now cancer-free.

So glad to hear you are cancer free! Enjoy your trip and have a wonderful time.

Last year I took my aunt on a cruise for beating cancer. She had never been on a cruise before. When she was going thru treatments I told her I would take her on a all expense paid cruise when she got the ok from her DR. She just loved the trip and told me it really helped her to have it to look forward to while going thru her treatments. She would call me after treatments and we would discuss things like where she wanted to go and so forth.

She is still cancer free and doing great.

  14. I will be taking my first solo cruise October 31, 2019 on the Sapphire Princess from Southampton to Rome. I just booked it a couple of days ago. I am a little anxious about traveling solo, but also very excited. This cruise is my retirement gift to myself. It will also tick off a few bucket list items.

I'm sure you'll have a great time. I just booked another solo cruise myself today. The only problem with booking solo is once you start going solo you may never want to take anyone with you again! clear.png?emoji-grin-1677

  15. I just booked my 4th Alaska cruise. I was able to get a great Solo rate on a balcony $499 thru Princess Casino rate with $800 casino cash and $30 OBC. Its for July 7th southbound on Golden Princess.

I have not been on this ship before but just got off a Caribbean 10 day cruise on May 11. This will be my 10th solo cruise.

  16. Hello I have a spa balcony booked April 7th 2018 on the Escape through CAS. My wife and I have more recently decided to part ways and she is on the reservation and does not want to go. I am 49, I have been on ten cruises (the escape twice) all with her and am trying to talk myself into still going alone...I definitely have concerns as I won’t know anyone, I have drink package, dining package and just cannot wrap my mind around walking into Cagneys or le bistro, alone. We always got the vibe and I would want that for social I guess. I am just not sure at all...the singles have the lounge I think to meet people...any opinions out there on all of this?

After my DH died 8 years ago I finally tried a solo cruise 4 years ago. I had the best time. I've been on 8 solo cruises since then . I'll be heading out in May for a 10 night solo. I invited a relative to go with me on one cruise last year and kinda felt weighed down. I discovered I really perfer going solo now. I guess I've become kind of selfish as I want to do what I want when I want and there's no one else to consider:D.

It's pretty easy to meet lots of people. Go and have a great time!

  17. I just called the Ocean players club. 888-772-6697. Spoke with Shelby. She was very nice. Verified my casino cash amount listed under special services in my booking. She said it doesn't always show on the cruise personalizer. I emailed myself the flyer and will have as backup. I think everything is good. Except for the 5 month wait to sail.

Thank you for the number! I just called it and found out I'm not under the VIP offer. That was all I have been trying to find out. I had a feeling I wasn't under that offer because of the low $399 per person balcony rate. The girl I spoke with said I'd have paid a lot more with the VIP offer than I did.

    Hopefully this will help others.

    :D:D:D

  18. I am a bit confused. We received the same email offer mentioned above and jumped on the $399 balcony. To my knowledge, we have not received a paper invitation in the mail. How would I go about finding out what perks we get? My summary does not show any casino cash, just the water package we bought.

Have you called princess yet? maybe you will get someone that can tell you. If not then try using the e-mail address that RMM34667 posted. Let us know what you find out.

  19. I use casino@carnival.com it's Global Casino Services for all Carnival lines.

Thank you for the e-mail address. I just sent them an e-mail with my booking info and asked them to verify the offer.

Usually when I book a cruise I call and request the offer I received. This time I hadn't checked my offers so when my PCP called and told me the rates of a couple of the cruises I was in a rush and said OK without asking about anything else. I just couldn't pass up the rate.

  20. It's bizarre that they can't tell you which offer you booked under. For the VIP offers they most definitely provide a roster of folks who booked that offer because the lanyards with your badge that identifies you as qualifying for free drinks etc. will be in your room upon boarding. If it isn't past the final payment date and / or you don't have a non refundable deposit, you might want to have them quote you the cost of booking the VIP offer now. If it's the same or less you can cancel what you have and be certain that you are part of the VIP group.

I booked this on Feb 23 so I am past the final date. Also I got such a great rate that even if I don't have the cash and perks I wouldn't cancel or change it. I'm just trying to find out what offer I'm under so I know if I have the perks. It is strange that princess can't tell me what offer I'm under other than 'the casino offer'

  21. I have never seen my casino cash listed in my booking. But I know things change and my last cruise was a year ago. I booked last week based on the VIP offer I received. I will be emailing the players club tomorrow to verify the casino cash.

Guess I need to put that flyer with my passport for backup documentation.

I haven't been able to find an e-mail address for the players club. Where would I find it so I can e-mail them to find out what code I'm booked under?

While looking thru my e-mails I did find another offer for this cruise that I had gotten in an e-mail dated the same as the VIP offer. It has a different code than the one I got in the mail but does not have the details in it. So I had 2 offers for the same cruise with different codes. I may not know anything until I board.

  22. My email from Princess Players Club didn't indicate any casino credit but the rate was so good we had to book. Offer was $399 balcony, $199 inside for a 10 day cruise. This was for guarantee rates on a forward cabin. Other cruises were offered but this was the one we took. Wound up with a mid-ship Carib balcony that is currently selling for $2078pp.

Looked like a mistake when we went to book online. The page that shows the rates for different classes of cabins indicated over $1000pp for a balcony, but when I selected it the better rates showed up. Tried using an anonymous browser and good rates did not show up. So use the link in the email or enter the promo code to get the better rates. Ten day cruise for $1128 total with taxes and insurance for two people. And other folks on the roll call have reported even better rates.

When I booked this cruise I hadn't looked at any of the fliers or emails that I had gotten. I booked it when the PCP called me. The rates she gave me were the same as yours so I booked it. She did say it was a casino rate. I was in a rush that day and didn't have time to ask any details. I later got the Flier in the mail with the casino cash and VIP details. (I had not checked my mail for a week:rolleyes:)clear.png?emoji-roll-eyes-1744 So when I saw this I called to see what offer I was booked under. The PCP called someone at the casino while I was on hold and then she told me yes I did have the offer with the cash and VIP perks. I did find under the summery something about a credit that had to be used on board and under total it said 'Credits are in'.

So I just called the number on the offer and spoke with someone else that said I am under a casino offer and it just says Casino Special offer. She said it didn't say what one as there are many. she said She really couldn't tell me much but to call my PCP back in a couple of days and ask to get a supervisor to find out which one I have. She also said that the booking offers from the casino often don't show the perks anywhere and that I just need to take the flier with me on the cruise.

It's not like I booked this for the perks, I booked it for the price. Still it would be nice to know. I do find it odd that Princess people don't seem to know what code I'm under! Anyway I look at it I got a great cruise for a really cheap price. I'm traveling solo and did upgrade to a BD that I picked for $80. more.
