On my Sunshine cruise in August my room steward replaced my mattress and my dining staff brought me the recipe for the creamy mushroom soup. (70 gallons so I will have to reduce that a bit, lol).

I use insuremytrip.com . There are tons of policies to choose from. It is more extensive than Carnival's insurance. I always get at least $500,000 for emergency evacuation. Usually a million. It costs usually around $80 for 2 people, but the prices and limits vary. I have never had to use it but always buy it.

If you have the dou card in the casino you should definitely tip!

Deck 3 starboard (outside)
Deck 5 One of the dance clubs nearly aft, casino bar and casino (inside)
Deck 9 (Lido) starboard (outside)
Deck 10 from seaside theatre all the way aft starboard side. (outside with cover and comfy furniture.
The cigarettes are around $32 a carton!

No they do not take coins. Change your quarters into bills before you board (much lighter). You will want to register your sign and sail card in a machine, (the hosts will help you). Put in your $50 for the night. AT the end of the night, if you have credits you will download them onto your sail and sign card and you can keep them there for the next night or go to the cashier and collect your winnings.

Thank you all for your answers. All had valid points. I'm always worried about boat noises keeping me up and/or waking me up. :-)
Bring earplugs just in case!

You can keep your cash in your safe and check and pay your account balance at the Kiosks so you do not have to stand in line at guest services.

John Heald just posted this on his FB page:
For those of you who have been asking me I am very happy to tell you that the Carnival Liberty’s next cruise departing this Sunday is indeed scheduled to operate as normal.
Cheers and have a brilliant time

Yes it is allowed. Just make sure to use command strips or something similar so that when you remove it, the door is clean. Have a great cruise!

My last 3 cruises (Liberty, Sensation and Sunshine) we had no problem with the temp. I bring a battery operated digital clock that has a themometer. The 1st two ships were always no higher than 72. My last cruise it was a chilly 68. I actually had to keep it off of the coldest setting . I was in an OV on deck 2 on the Liberty, An inside on deck 11 on the Sensation and an inside on deck 1 on the Sunshine.

Please keep in mind that when you book a guarantee rate you must be willing to be placed anywhere on the ship. You may be in a cabin that you would never intentionally book as those are the last to sell. If you think your cruise will be ruined because you are in a less desirable location , then you should try to pick a cabin and pay a higher rate. So many people do not understand this and after their cruise come back here and complain how awful their cruise was because they were in a cabin that was under the showroom, over the casino, too far forward, too far aft, etc etc. It is a gamble when you pay the lower guarantee rate.
If you are just happy to be on a cruise no matter where your cabin is you will have a great time! Enjoy your cruise!

We were in V24. (Sensation) It was a quiet hallway and awesome to be so close to lido, only 2 decks from the casino and shops. It was great!
-
I get to the port at 1pm so by 1:30 my cabin is ready and I am able to unpack and then enjoy the fun for the rest of the day.
-
I've used park and cruise off of 528 and it was very easy. It is a 5 minute shuttle ride to the port.

I love the insides on Lido or Panorama. So close to the food! That being said, I just had an inside on deck 1 on the sunshine. Very quiet and really, I was not in it very much. I bring a battery operated clock with a nightlight or a small flashlight but there is some light coming in under the door. Deck one makes getting off the ship in ports a snap! And for the water outside OV's you really have to be facing some pretty large waves to have it splash your window. I prefer to spend less money and get a forward inside high on Lido or on the lowest deck.

Can’t wait for your review to start with your awesome pics and writing. There hasn’t been any reviews this week worth looking at on here.
Wow, that comment will certainly keep people from writing their reviews.

When I was on the 8/8/15 cruise only the social media programs were available. I never saw anything with the hub app which is currently only on the Breeze. Maybe I missed something:confused:

You do not have to give a limit on your CC. You can use the sail and sign on the private island.

I would rather they replace nassau 1st.

Wha, you don't see yourself ever making a 50 gallon drum of soup?
Now, my question is can I get it WITH anchovy dressing? Because if so, I'll make a point to order the Caesar salad. Most places do not have the traditional anchovy dressing and I LOOOOOOVE IT!
I plan to divide the 50 gallon recipe so I can make a gallon at a time, lol.
Yes they have anchovy dressing. (Not my cup of tea).

Cream of mushroom soup is the best! (I asked for and got the recipe (50 gallons!)
Caesar salad with no anchovy dressing.
Lamb chops (mint jelly!)
Prime Rib (rare only)
Lamb shank
Flat iron steak (rare only)
Creme Brulee
Lemon cake
4 cheese pizza (had a fancy name but was wonderful)
Guys fries (if ship is equipped).

I was on the Sunshine last week. Minimum was $10 and the chips were $2.00.
-
I was just on the Sunshine. The ATM fee is $6.00 plus whatever your bank charges. Just be sure to notify your bank that you will be traveling so that they do not deny the withdrawal or freeze your card.

App: Escargot
Main: Prime Rib (rare only, med and above is awful)
Dessert: Creme Brulee
FTTF time vs. Boarding Pass Time

They make everyone pick a time. But if you have FTTF you can go anytime! Enjoy!
