Comedians were different on ours. Yes, the rest of the shows were the same but we also didn't necessarily feel the need to see everything on week one. It ended up being a more chill experience. If we wanted to dine late one night, we did because we knew we could see the playlist show next week. If we were too tired to catch the deck party, we skipped it on week one. We love B2B. If you can pair a 7 day eastern with a 7 day western all the better.
Well said! I'm addicted to B2B cruises.

Do you really want to pack up, disembark, then embark again on another ship, unpack again just for a few shows? I'm pretty sure the comedians will be different. They seem to get on and off the ship pretty quickly.
I'm sure you can find other things to entertain you. JMHO

I've cruised there many times in different months. The first 2 to 3 days are a little wavy, as well at the end of the cruise on the way home.
Weather is a crapshoot. You really never know. I've had seas smooth as silk and some seas that nearly tossed me from my bed. Same months different weather.
Had a great cruise either way because I loved being rocked to sleep at night.
That being said, the weather varies from day to day usually, so you won't have bad weather the entire cruise. (Of course, this can't be said as an absolute)

No. That would be something new. Not sure they have a legal right to keep port taxes for a port you never visited, especially if the taxes are assessed on a per passenger basis. Carnival either needs to turn the funds over to the ports or refund them to you.
Yep! I just did a no show in Feb and got my port fees and taxes returned to me.

I tried it once and haven't felt the need to go back. You should try it though.
The crab was nearly impossible to remove from the shell. Came out in teeny weeny pieces with no flavor.

Beginning to mid October is usually very nice.

I'm a bigger fan of the Sapphire.
The closets on the Grand are sometimes smaller, depending on the cabin you get.
I also like the way the Sapphire is layed out. The Grand just doesn't do it for me.

What did “our way” mean?
Got a different cabin. All in our area were ANGRY! Sounded like a cannon ball was hitting our walls every 10 minutes.

Take your blanket and pillows and if you can pull your mattress down to guest services and sleep there for a few nights. I think it might light a fire. And yes we did read on CC that someone did that very thing.
That would be my hubby!. We ended up getting our way.

36 years ago my mother in law booked my husband and I on a 4 day honeymoon cruise. Guess what? Bunk beds LOL
We took the mattresses, put them on the floor and slept well.
Can't say at 60, which we now are, I could still do it, but for the right price anything is possible. Enjoy your cruise and hope for the best. You may just get the cabin of your dreams.

That's a tight check in window.
An impossible window. IMHO
Sounds like it's gonna be a hot mess.

Not sure why you "quoted" my post as it was just a general comment.
Because they want to show that it usually doesn't matter.

And they charge a fee.
most banks reimburse that. Even so, the fee is at a minimum. IMHO

I'll be on her next month. Thanks for sharing your information. I plan on having a great time!

I have heard many complaints about the noise at the front of the ship. I usually book an inside aft on deck 7 or 8. One or 2 quick decks to all the light you could want. And the buffet

I remember being able to do this on Royal but not on Celebrity. On my last cruise I just took waters from the mini bar. You can take a thermos up to OVC but that gets old after a while.
Thanks! I didn't know this. Will take this into consideration when booking my next cruise.
Appreciate you taking time to answer my question.

sj - it is quite unfortunate that you understood my post to be "snarky" while in fact they were comments on my knowledge about ordering water AND an inquiry as to quantities of water you and your travel companion drink while traveling.
Nothing more or nothing less....
Plus I offered up that consideration be given to getting the ZBP in lieu of bringing water with you.
Cheers and bon voyage
I'm not a cow and I don't "plow" through water.

With all respect to all water drinkers: The more environmental choice is available on the ship. Just bring nice bottle by your own. We filled our bottles several times from water stations in Spa cafe which was the closest place.
We use it for the room. Shall I run upstairs every 30 minutes? The bathroom water leaves a bleach taste
in my mouth.

I did not realize that water could have been ordered by the case on X.... before this post.
Approximately, how many bottles of water do you plow through on a seven (7) night sailing???
ZBP value proposition may be worth it vs bringing cases of water with you at embarkation. Just a thought.
Cheers and bon voyage
We are on a B2B, but your snarky answer says much about your character.
I haven't been on Celebrity in years. Now I know why.
Need opinions on B2B

I rarely get off the ship anymore either. I just kick back and relax.
