We chose a different excursion.  It was the best cruise!

Thanks.  One of my sisters wants to go snorkeling and has never been.  I did talk to the folks at NCL so I just have to follow up with the excursions group.  She told me they use a couple different tour operators.  We'll see.

My husband and I are going to Belize in July and want to go on the Sharks, Rays and Barrier Reef break excursion. The excursion is supposed to be a boatride to the reef and snorkeling. However we noticed a 275# weight limit.. why? I called Carnival and they couldn't explain why either. They said that the weight limit was set by the company that runs the excursion and told me to email shoreexcursions@carnival.com for more info. (yes I have and no response yet. Does anyone have any idea why?

    Thanks.

I know this is a super old post but I have the same question... I'm wondering what you found out.  I read the same restriction but for NCL.  I have snorkeled several times and there was never a weight limit.  I'm a good swimmer and have no problems floating or treading water.

  3. Welcome.

Others answered your question, but I want to add when my husband I have gone on our cruises (2, soon to be 3), I requested two carafes of coffee. We love our coffee and one wasn't enough for both of us. :p:p

  4. We've been following the news on it, and I believe from what DH tells me that it looked like the fire was to the west of Anchorage so getting to Seward shouldn't be a problem.

Glad to hear there is rain in the forecast.

I'm sure that if something changes because of the fire, Celebrity would contact passengers... wouldn't they?

  5. I did this tour a few years back when visiting Seattle. It was interesting and you get a good history of Seattle... but (and they tell you this), you basically paid to see basements.

If you want to make the most of your tours, your could probably do another tour where you see more and hear the same information.

  6. My DH is a strict rule follower and when I told him about bringing a power strip, he checked and saw that it was on the what not to pack. Although that contradicted other things I read. So I called CC and asked.

The agent was surprised and said she doesn't see it listed on her list. And said that they do provide extension cords for people who use CPAP machines. I told her were my husband saw it and she called over to the web desk. They knew where it was and said that it was out of date. She came back and told me it was fine and that they did open a ticket to update the website. I see that it's still not updated though.

I had called two weeks ago.
