  1. We will be sailing Adventure shortly and I've found some general posts regarding many successfully connecting HDMI to view downloaded and/or streaming content, I was wondering if anyone had experience on doing this on Adventure.  Know casting is limited to the new ships, so hoping we can connect a HDMI and use a universal remote in our cabin.  Thanks in advance for any insights & tech directions.

  2. Thanks.  I do check both the app and log in online.  Now, happy to report that Chops lunch reservations have now showed up for this 7/1 Adventure of the Seas sailing.  Also the main dining menus are back on the app too. They had disappeared a couple of week ago.  Can't wait to sail again soon!  😄

  3. We will be sailing on Adventure of the Seas in a few weeks and I am not seeing any specialty dining (Chops or Giovanni's) as being available for lunch on embarkation day.  Our most recent cruises have all been Oasis class, so of course many other options, however wondering if anyone has insight to Adventure and if there is any specialty lunch option on this ship for embarkation day.

  4. We have sailed Star class twice and as reported the direct Genie communications increase in the 2 weeks before the cruise.  We found the Genies to use the initial boarding  to review & update any requests/expectations.  They of course will be checking on you regularly and help make adjustments along the way and their attention to detail in small interactions is amazing.  On Harmony, I had mentioned that the raspberries we had in our room were particularly delicious and each day we found a chilled bowl waiting for us to enjoy.

  5. Our DD grew up cruising and similar to what others posted enjoyed dressing up, enjoying the appetizers along with a Shirley Temple.  She was treated well by staff & well behaved. We did take her back to our suite a few times when we were uncomfortable with language or behavior from others in the lounge. I would never have allowed her to run or cause a scene.  Regardless of age or venue, appropriate behavior is important and we are all accountable to act respectfully.

  6. I have Verizon as well and have used the free wifi calling feature while sailing in the past.  Very important to make sure that you have all cellular service turned off.  Travel pass will work on land and for a small daily fee you are able to use your regular cell & data plan.  Hope this helps and that your family member recuperates quickly.

  7. Reading posts have a couple of questions about 2 things on the Edge gym.  It appears that there are Peloton bikes available.  My daughter found an online review (not CC) that Peloton bikes were complimentary for those who had a Peloton account & may also be free for those in suites.  Second, is there still  Barre class offered and if so, what is the cost?  We are thinking ahead of our need to burn calories with the food & adult beverage indulgences.  Thanks ahead of time for those sharing their experiences.

  8. We are scheduled on an eastern Caribbean March 2020 sailing on the Edge with our first day at sea & scheduled to dock in San Juan at 3:30pm.  Checked the port schedule & looks like both the Celebrity & RCL ships do not show arrival times, only the departure.  Seem to recall arriving in some ports (including San Juan) early in the past and passengers being allowed to leave the ship once it was cleared.  Asking as we'd like to try to make it to a tour that starts at 4:30pm and if we dock as scheduled would not be able to make it in time.  For those with recent experience, would it be likely that we may arrive in San Juan early, giving us a chance to disembark earlier?

  10. Our first time on the Edge this spring and looking forward to enjoying many dining options, including our access to Luminae.  I could not find an answer and hoped that others may be able to share their experiences.  Is it possible to order one of the dining room exclusives while dining at Luminae.  For example, could we sample the saganaki from Cypress with our meal at Luminae?  Or try one of the specialty cocktails?  Thanks in advance for any insights.

  11. My experience is that most specialty cocktails, including frozen drinks, drinks of the day, etc.  are within the price of the drink packages regardless of class of ship.  It's not just plain mixed drinks.  Of course anything in a specialty glasses etc would be more, but I never get those.  Wine by the glass selections at the $12/$13 dollar level are generally limited and this is where you may pay extra.
