  1. Thank You Copper!! :)

I just spoke with her, she talked with someone at the Front Desk and he told her that there is 0% chance of her bag going to the Princess ship, let’s hope so!!

Because, if by chance it does, that ship is going down the coast of California!!

My DD will NOT be happy!! :(

I am Positive she will get her bag, I have never heard of such a thing!!

  2. My DD just called in a panic!! She just boarded the Eurodam in Seattle for an Alaskan Cruise and is watching people bringing their laggage onboard.

She gave her bag to a Porter as she has done before on past cruises.

But, now she is worrying that her bag is going to go to the Princess ship next to her ship!!

    Does this ever happen??!!

    She is So Stressed!!

Should she have brought her bag up to her room?

    Thank you.

  3. I am planning a little trip for my Husband and I to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary next month and I think the Norwegian Sky is a good fit. :D:D

I have one question, for any anyone who has been in Cabin # 9075.

I see that there is a walk-in shower, do you think it is big/wide enough for a shower chair and to sit fairly comfortably inside the shower?

Thank you for any and all comments. :)

  4. Hi :)

It has been quite a few years since I have cruised on Royal Caribbean and I am planning a cruise next March on the "Jewel of the Seas". :D

Eight years ago when we were on "Explorer of the Seas", there was only the Concierge Club that was a "perk" for Suite guests.

No Breakfasts and Lunch in a specialty restaurant, no Butler, etc.......

    Has anything changed since 2006?

How about on the "Jewel of the Seas"?

Also, can a mobility scooter fit through most cabin doors?

I plan on getting an Owners Suite, so there will be room to park the scooter in the room, I was just wondering about getting it into the room.

Thank you for any and all thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions! :)

  5. I agree about the bathtub being very steep and not very accessible. We are doing the CS on the Summit this August, and will have the butler bring us a step stool as I am not very tall and do not feel safe entering and exiting the tub.

Will report back regarding perks for CS in August.

Now I am going to have to rethink the reservation I have for this August on the Summit. The bathtub sounds a bit scary! :O I am recovering from knee replacement surgery and quad surgery and have NO desire to hurt myself getting in and out of a steep tub!! :O :(

  6. I too would like to know ALL the "perks" for a Sky Suite on the Summit.

I have a cruise reserved for this August, I am still thinking about it.

I am a bit confused at what all the perks are.

It would be great to find out whats what. :)

    Thank You! :)

  7. We were in 6261 on the Eclipse. It's a smaller suite but was adequate for our needs. As for the view, if you look down you'll see lifeboats. Look straight ahead you'll see the sea. (Pardon the pun.) I was able to take great pictures of sunrises/sunsets, islands, other boats etc. I'd do it again.

    I like that, Don't Look Down! :D :D :D

  8. I have two reservations on the same cruise, on the Summit this August.

    One cabin is Aquaclass, #9090

The other is Skyclass, # 6102

Both are midship, which I want. :)

I wouldn't mind being in cabin 9090, but I am used to being in larger Suites.

But, I have been reading up on cabin 6102, which is the size I prefer, BUT, the balcony is exposed, there are life boats below, I do like an unobstructed views. ;)

    Help???? :D;)

  9. Somethings seem to be changing, and it could change cruise to cruise and definitely ship to ship.

Much of the music is live, but there are DJs. There are usually 2-3 guest performers. On Summit specifically, they bring on guest performers from 54 below, have some new shows like Liquid and Sin City and even some with less information:

    http://www.celebritycruises.com/explore/ships/detail.do?shipCode=SM

There are definitely fun shows like Liars Club and Not so Newly Wed Game that have been entertaining.

A "typical" week is goes like this:

Night 1 Variety of all performers doing a little

Night 2 Captains toast and production show

Night 3 Guest performer and maybe a late night show like Liars Club

    Night 4 Production show

Night 5 Comedian or Juggler or both

    Night 6 Production show

    Night 7 Farewell show

Show times change a bit depending on night but usually it is 7pm for the late diners, and 9:00 or there about for the early dinners. Occasionally there is a 8pm show and a 10pm show.

We haven't always been impressed with every show, but have found some very good shows, with comedians that have flown in at one port, and left.

Liquid, Sin City, etc are additional pop up performances you can get more info about in the link above.

    I hope this helps.

    Happy sailing,

    Jenna

Thank You for all your information! I DO Appreciate it!! I am sure we will enjoy Celebrity, just like we have with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Holland America. :D

  10. I have never cruised on Celebrity before.

    Are the stage shows good?

Is the music "canned" or live?

    Do they have "guest" talent.

    What times are the shows?

Will there be nights with "The Not So Newly Wed Game" and stuff like that?

Just trying to get the feel of Celebrity.

Thank you for any and all thoughts and suggestions! :)

  11. There will be formal nights. On a 7 night cruise, there are two of them.

You can go to one of the specialty restaurants or eat at the buffet if you choose not to dress up.

The remaining nights are called "smart casual and above".

If "cruise casual" means shorts and flip flops, no, you can't be that casual in the dining room.

For Select Dining (Celebrity's version of Any time Dining) you will be in the Main Dining Room, and the dress code will apply there.

No shorts or flip flops, dresses or capris. :)

  12. My DD is a TRUE BLUE Rangers Fan and I like to cruise. :D:D

Has anyone been on a "theme" cruise?

    What did you think?

I know it is not going to be "up close and personal", but, will my DD be happy do you think?

This is our first cruise on Celebrity.

For Dinner, can we wear "cruise casual" or do we have to dress up?

We will be in "Anytime Dining" or whatever Celebrity calls it.

Thank you for any thoughts and comments. :)

  13. I am again thinking of doing a Russian River Cruise.

It has been on and off for a few years now, but, I think the time is right, either this year or next. :D

A few years ago I was sold an AMA, now I don't know.

I would LOVE to hear ANY and ALL thoughts and opinions on this matter. :)

Which cruise company do You think is the best and why?

How many cruise lines have hotel stays in Moscow and Saint Petersburg?

What time of year would be the best time to go? Spring or Fall?

    Who has the nicest cabins?

As in, "American style" showers, no sewer smells in the bathroom, comfortable beds, bathrooms that are not the size of an airplane toilet and are attractively decorated?

    The Best food?

    The Best on ship entertainment?

    The Best staff?

The Nicest, Safest, most clean ship?

I hope I am not asking or expecting too much, but, these Russian River Cruises are not cheap, I hope/expect to get decent value for my $$.

Thank You for all your help, I DO appreciate it!!! :) icon14.gif

  14. Terry--just enjoyed your cruise photos/blog and must say that by far, you are the best photo poster/blogger on CC I have had the pleasure of finding. I've never posted a live blog before, and was having issues uploading photos, but a tip in your other thread helped me to realize an important step I had overlooked. Finding an iPad app to store/upload the photos was the first step, then cut and paste the direct link, and it worked.

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication to making a cruise photo journal for all of us to enjoy.

    Happy cruising....Joanne
