  1. All I want is one bottle of my friends favorite wine to have on her Birthday while on board.. Since we are flying to the port, any ideas for packing it safely. I read put a sock over it, then wrap it in a shirt. I could also wrap in bubble wrap. I have the newer luggage with the poly exterior. The only problem I see, is I'm going to have to unpack it at the cruise terminal, or should I just take the chance. I don't mind paying the $15, I just don't want to hassle with opening my suitcase out on the pavement. Anyone done that? Could I just tell them at security and let them sort it out?

  2. :D:D;)\Thanks for the information. Can't understand the top secret prices on most things, other than it makes it easier for them to raise prices without hearing complaints. I guess I will just have to stick to my usual " do I need it or do I just want it" method of deciding what spend.

  3. I am cruising on the Sun, 15 days in October. At any point prior to the cruise will NCL notify me of the price of spa services, and other activities that I may be charged for? It would certainly help to plan spending during the cruise

  4. Email from NCL this morning. UBC is now $54 if purchased in advance. They won't be getting my money. Does anyone know the price of bottled water. That's pretty much all I drink anyway. Maybe one or two alcoholic drinks and then not every day. Coffee only with meals. None of the beverage packages would pay for me. Even on the 15 day cruise I'm taking. Will drink my beer in Mexico. Sorry Norwegian.

  5. I took my first cruise on Festivale in April of 90. They had 4 single cabins and I had one of those. We had assigned seating in the dining room then, and I had the best group ever. Single ladies from 2 of the other cabins, from TX and NJ, a couple on their honeymoon that had bunk beds (LOL), a couple of adorably cute brothers in their 20's. The best part was, and all my friends think I'm crazy, but it was fine. I met some people on the airplane from a town near me. A couple of days into the cruise I was talking to one of the single men from that group, and he was complaining that his roommates who were much younger keep bringing girls to their cabin. Well we asked the crew and they brought a mattress to my cabin, stored under my bed during the day. He spent the rest of the cruise sleeping on the floor of my cabin, and paid for a portion of my cruise.
