As host Bob has already answered, nope. However if you have an anti-RFID sleeve on the card instead of clear plastic it isn't going to work.
thanks very much!!!
-
so to scan it do u have to remove it from my see-through carrier?
-
when entering/leaving the Harmony at port, do you need to remove your SeaPass card from any plastic see-through holder to give it to the security officer?
-
Just off Harmony on 8/5. They sell a variety of lanyards onboard in Prince & Greene and a couple other shops, with plastic sleeve attached. I bought mine mid-way through the cruise, cost was $10.95, not sure if all were priced the same, but if not, similarly. I had a clip lanyard I brought and asked Guest Services to punch my SeaPass, which they did for me in 2013 but was told they don't do that anymore so you will need a plastic sleeve if you bring a lanyard with clip.
They sell WOW bands, and a lot of people seem to love them but I had the unlimited beverage package and found it a pain to take it off each time I bought a drink, but it was super convenient for opening the stateroom door.
thank you so much, Sue.

do they punch a hole in your SeaPass? or do you slip your SeaPass in a plastic sleeve. help me out here.
-
I am going to be on the Harmony. if I want to wear my SeaPass Card around my neck, how do I do that? should i bring anything in advance to the ship? does the ship provide or sell anything?
Thanks.

Bob,
thank you so much. Princess may just be copying RCL's bottom figure.
To give you an idea, here is how Royal distributes tips: -
yes, i think that is what is done. but how much would you tip the housekeeper for her to THEN put in the pot? (if she is doing an average job.)
i am on the Regal Princess.
I don't know which line you're on about, but I gather most of the American lines put all the tips in a big pot and share them out according to formula. -
Gratuities of $12.95 per person (per day) are taken out automatically, but i've chosen to leave the various tips myself this time.
my question is, of that $12.95, how much would you pay the housekeeper if they do an average job? i still have to pay the waiter, etc.
(in each case, I would add to the gratuity if I really like them or have special requests.)
-
Going on the Regal Princess soon, I noticed that the latest gratuity charge is $12.95 per person, per day. We like to dispute that charge, get it refunded, then pay the appropriate workers in cash, plus an extra gratuity to the most deserving.
Have you ever come across a breakdown for the various workers in amounts per day? For example:
housekeeping $5.00
head waiter $4.00
asst waiter...
I apologize if this matter has been covered before...
Thanks.
John

do they have handicap rooms? are the rooms just inside? can you visit any ports? do you have to tender? do they not allow you to tender? any other comments? thanks.

I will definitely look into Cathy. I am not trying to get air miles. By major, I mean any airline that you hear about in the U.S., like American, Delta, United, etc.
What class of service? What do you consider "major" and why does it matter? Are you trying to gain air miles in a certain alliance? -
which airline do you like? for what reason? i hope it is a major one.
I haven't decided upon flying to either HK or Singapore.
-
your link led to RCL's ChoiceAir program. I have already tried to pursue this avenue, and it seemed like it was designed for travel agents and other professionals. what am i missing here?
-
where do i go to buy a RCL cruise and flight(s) at the same time. and there might be more that one way to do this.
i am looking to get some RCL guarantee that i will make it onto the ship if something happens to the flight. and i would like to get some type of discount on the whole package.
i don't mind talking to someone at RCL if that is one answer.
thanks.

...Princess can do whatever it wants with your photo (i.e. you are giving the rights away to them). If I had a publish-worthy photo, I sure wouldn't give the rights away without a guaranteed reward.
likewise, i suppose you would never buy a lottery ticket (and lend the rights to your name and image), because they could not promise that you would win the lottery.

when waters get rough, i see various people wearing a patch on their neck or wherever. i don't think they brought the patches with them. where do they get them? do they have to bring a prescription? is there a charge? yada yada...
fill me in, please.

I am all set to apply for a shareholder stock benefit. The Carnival webpage instructs me to send proof of share ownership to Princess Cruises, along with a Santa Clarita, CA address and phone number. But doesn't Princess have an email address for this? I can't imagine calling them up or writing them a snail letter.
Thanks.
-
1. do i go to a Princess website to register?
2. my wife needs a shower chair. who do i contact?
3. do i contact someone regarding when i eat and where?
4. while u R being so helpful, does Princess have some type of (stock) shareholder benefit?
thanks so much!!!

Have you had any experiences with the rhum guy in Labadee's Artisan's Market? Did you buy a bottle of rhum/rum from him? was he able to deliver it to the ship? or did he have a case of amnesia? we had a problem with him on the November 26, 2013 Grandeur. :(
A ship's officer told us, well, he's not on the ship's staff.
but when you go to a Royal Caribbean island, you figure everything will be safe. well, i guess not...
-
We bought a small container from the Rhum guy that looked like a beer bottle...

i don't have my friends and family coupon in front of me...
exactly how is a friend or family able to take advantage of your coupon? is there a special number on the coupon that your give them? or do they have to actually have the coupon in hand before booking?
thanks!

After you apply for your RCCL Shareholder Benefit for your upcoming cruise, how do you know if you have been approved? or do you just have to wait until you get onboard and look at your daily charges? (By then its too late.)
