  1. Actually all taxis, regardless of whether it's a Prius or a minivan, are the same price in Vancouver - mileage & wait time costs are dictated by local bylaws. Unless traffic is truly outrageous the total fare should be under $40 from pier to airport - a towncar from a limo service would be c.$60.

Can anyone recommend a reputable and reliable limo service in YVR?

  2. Our group of 5 will be arrive around 10:30 p.m. and between the two options of either a mini-van taxi versus a limo service which would you choose? If both services are operating 24 hours, would it make sense to spend a little more for limo to have the convenience of a waiting car? Per Aerocar a limo would run $65.00 which include the tax prior to gratuity. Any comments, THANKS as alway.:confused:

  3. We will visit Vancouver pre-cruise for one day and post cruise one and a half days. Ship arrives 8 am and we leave Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from YVR. How much Canadian money would you recommend to carry - for tipping, taxi cab and small incidentals. Should we just use USD instead? Our credit cards charge foreign fees between 0 - 3%. Our Discover card will be used for purchases only since there is zero foreign fees. I want to use our bank debit card in the atm for cash. We are a family of 5. Our bank - Wells Fargo quoted a $5.00 USD atm fee - but not clear as to the foreign fee for using our debit card. If we use a visa or mc at the ATM, there will be a cash advance fee attached too. Please any suggestions :o

  4. Thanks Martincath. Our Disney cruise leaves on a Monday and we should get to the port no later than 1:00p.m. We have one day post cruise leaving on a Tuesday afternoon. We are thinking of seeing the Capilano Bridge and possibly Grouse Mountain. We are looking at a tour company, but may plan it on our own. At this time, we have reservations post cruise near the airport. I'll probably have more questions, our cruise will be next month - we're celebrating our son's college graduation:D

  5. Hi experts..We (family of 5 adults) will be staying for one night pre-cruise at the Canadian - Worldmark timeshare. We arrive late on Sunday night at YVR and will take a van taxi and we don't check out until 11am. Any recommendations for breakfast. The Canadian is located across from the Sheraton Wall at 1080 Hornsby Street. We would like something memorable prior to the start of our cruise. Also when we go to Canada Place is the walk difficult its about 8 blocks/1 mile I think? THANKS
