Yesterday it was canapés delivered… nothing to write home about🫡 Mr tried the sweet treat… it tasted as something stored in an fridge containing uncovered onions 🧅😂😂

Tonight’s show was The magic Hotel by Alex. It’s an illusion show. He is a house magician onboard Inf⚓️ Show was good👍🏻 (but I have to say, Jessica Jane is a notch above🌟) M was super happy 😃 and had a great time. Between the show and dinner, M run off to Club X. (They obviously do something right😂😂👍🏻) We went to Cellar Master and enjoyed the live relaxing music 🎵🥰 Dinner…. Wow, it was literally a full house tonight😅🤪 Tonight’s menu: M ordered a main ASAP, something fun was happening at 21.00 in club X😂😂😅 Andy fixed the deal🫡🫶🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 M got a duck quickly, so he had dinner and run off😅🤪 We on the other hand had plenty of time. So we ordered salmon tartare, salad, escargot, shrimp pasta and duck 🦆 Dessert I had ice cream and Mr the panna cotta /strawberry soup. The we went upstairs, M was still enjoying X Club. He arrived back a few minutes after us. M had a great time with XClub🙌🏻🥰 He had connected with some of the other teens👏🏻🫶🏻🥰

So, we usually don’t know what’s going on in teens club…. But we have shown M where it is and that they offer a daily program. Todays schedule Around 14.30 M said that he wanted to visit the X club area. It’s 17.30 now and he’s still there😅😂😎 The trivia and ping pong 🏓 was tempting for him🙂👍🏻 So I will say what he says about the club later😉

Around 12.45 ish when we were outside on deck, Maximus saw several people carrying plates from the buffet side….. after a little closer inspection 🧐 he discovered that it was fruit and liquid chocolate 🍫 We said that they probably had fired up the chocolate fountain ⛲️… Before we had even said the words, he was in direction of the buffet😂😂😂 He REALLY wanted to see and try it! It was Italian 🇮🇹 themed lunch today and a big section of 🍒, strawberries and fruit skewers. Maximus went for the fruits🍒🍫🍒 and chocolate😂😂😂 He was 🤩🤩🤩🤩 for this buffet. (Something tells me he will be a good buffet eater from now on😜)

Captains Club was a full service event. Canapés, drinks, acrobatics, live music 🎶 and officers. IMG_5175.mov Captain Ioannis had a little speech🥂⚓️🇬🇷 Top cruiser was a lady, 1600 points. 24 cruises.

Today it’s captains club welcome toast 🥂 I noticed on the captains club paperwork that’s it’s only the captains club welcome toast. It’s no senior officers party during this cruise. They have the mixology event. The party is 11.45. it’s a good break from the sun for 30.minutes ish.

I was up walking 🚶‍♂️ Mr & M was sleeping a little longer🙂 It was all empty upstairs…. So everyone was sleeping in😎 At 09.15 I went downstairs to wake up the guys and get ready for some breakfast. Since everyone was late, they prepared for buffet craziness🤣🤪😵‍💫 So I said, today it’s Captain Club breakfast😅⚓️💙 It was 2 tables at Captain Club breakfast and very peaceful and quiet👍🏻 We had some salmon and ultimate plate😋 Maximus was very happy for real OJ. Mr was 🥰 a happy camper😎

I have had the fish several times. It’s either hit or miss. The fish is either perfectly cooked or dry😅 it’s not my favourite fish onboard, it’s due to what seasoning and garnish they served it with🙃

Dinner tonight was good 👍🏻 Sunset was great 👍🏻 Tonight’s menu: We had carpaccio, apple pear salad, short ribs and korma😋 Dessert menu: Cherry jubilee was tonight’s winner (mr was the only one wanting dessert😂😂) Then it was bedtime for me🤣🤣 Mr & M are outside to have a look on the stars 🌟

canapés had arrived before us…. it was stuffed into someone’s mouth before I managed to say STOP 🛑😅 Tonight it was back to the “rhythm” of cruise. Show at 19.00. Tonight’s show was production show Broken Strings. I can it in and out😂😂😂 But it’s a new cast since last sailing💙 Maximus had not attended the theatre and was a bit surprised do WE have a theatre onboard??? Show was as it should be🙃 After the show its was time for a martini flair🥳 Maximus needs to learn some skills for the summer party😂😂😅 He was really surprised that the bar is made of ice 🧊 and the flair. (What bad habits can auntie & uncle give the guy😜🤣🤣) Beautiful evening

If you wonder if it was a good tour today😅😂😂 (I can’t believe it happened😅 I have to stop the habit of breaking shoes on a cruise😩) I was walking upstairs in Thiriasias… ooops, one broken 🫣😬😳 two more steps… the other sandals 😵‍💫🤪🤪 YEP, have a great day😂😂😂

Our tour left on time 10.30. We were sailing to the volcano first. It’s 5€ fee pr person for entry to the volcano park. You pay by cash on arrival on the island. It’s around 1.5km to the top. It’s uphill and uneven lava rocks. Our guide from the tour follows the group. He explained the process and how it has developed during the years. We had 1h 20.minutes on the volcano. M was super happy and excited for the volcano 🌋 visit. Last time me & Mr did this tour was in 2014. After the volcano we continued onward to the hot spring baths. We had 30 minutes to enjoy and explore. It leaves you rusty😅 So leave light coloured bathing attire on the ship😎 Mr & M was swimming all the way inside the peninsula of the hot spring. M found it very fascinating. After the cooling dip we liftet our anchor ⚓️ and continued to Thirasia Island. We had 2h 10.min It’s a mini Santorini and primarily locals, so very untouched. We walked up to the city centre to enjoy the view and have a little walk. It’s a little shorter walk than old port to Fira. But same stairs and steep trails💪🏻🦵🏻 It took us around 15.minutes to get there😎😅 You can use a donkey 🫏 We went for a walk, enjoyed the view, the cats 🐈‍⬛ and church ⛪️. After the stroll around town, we decided to walk downstairs. IMG_5095.mov We had a sea view ice cream 🍨 when we arrived downtown. It was cold and good 😋 (we earned it😂) Our tour left on time from Thirasia 15.30. On the way back to Old Port, you sail out to Oia. So you get a good view of the town and the blue bells 💙💙💙🇬🇷⛪️🇬🇷 We arrived back in port 16.30. We walked straight onboard our tender and back to the ship. It was Al Bacio time🙃 ice tea🍹 to re hydrate and cool down a little bit😎

We went for breakfast in mdr🙃 We arrived around 08.00 and it was quiet, not to many people. I had my usual yogurt, Mr omelette and Maximus was a happy camper eating eggs Benedict😋😋😋 After finishing breakfast we went upstairs to get tea for our day outside. I had a detour to Al Bacio to pick up some water and a cookie to M. The Royal loyalty matches are already onboard😩🫣😱😳😬🙄😑 Not to be rude or judgmental… But the lady in front of me was so angry on the crew. She made it very clear that Royal was SO much better, they gave her 3 free drinks every day. She was not happy to pay for her cafe latte….🤬 Royal had a coffee card AND she had her 3 drinks vouchers🥵😥🫣 I really don’t understand why they have the loyalty match… I’m personally SO against this one to one match of level. It was absolutely fantastic as it was! But back to fun times🇬🇷😎 We have booked private sailing the caldera tour 6h. Volcano, hot spring and Thirrassa. We have taken the same trip before😊 And we think it’s a fun trip for M to make. Swimming, volcano and a small island 🏝️ We booked it online on Caldera boats. It was 30€ per person. Departure 10.30. Meeting time from 45.minutes before departure in Old Port Fira. We walked downstairs to the priority tender 09.05 and was told go straight down to deck 1. We waited 10.minutes and were on our way to old port. We arrived in old port 09.37. Walked straight to the Santo Star office and checked in to our tour😎 Now we are waiting for departure🇬🇷⚓️ on our boat for the tour💙

So no show… it’s just strange. The rhythm 🎵 of our evening ritual had a little hint of a little 🤪😅 Maximus and Mr walked by the teens club, so M could meet some other teens. The shop is packed with children and teens. We are at overcapacity and a lot of the 3/4 beds are in use. At 20.30 M meet us for dinner in MDR. We had our reservation card and was quick taken to our table…. It was a lovely 2 top by the window in the back😍 YES…. But also🤔 2…. Out following waiter was 😟🫣🤔🤔🤔 Just give me a second…. Our main waiter arrived and checked his list🧐🧐🧐🤔🤭🫣 After 10 minutes cleared that we had 2 tables, 430+431. They were supposed to be lined together to a 4 table😅 Well, then we got it all sorted ✔️ Our dinner staff: Today’s menu: Mr & M had wedge salat and went for shrimp 🍤 cocktail. For main I had the fish, M the lamb and Mr the steak & chips. Dessert menu: M was skipping dessert. Mr went for the peach 🍑 and I had ice cream, chocolate and pistachios. Ice cream was good 👍🏻 tasting and texture was great 👍🏻 (really SO much better than last time) Mr said his dessert was good, but they should offer it as a breakfast option instead😅😂😂😂 After dinner we went to 🛌

After dropping off the bags, we went for some lunch in the buffet. We meet Sheldon, our housekeeper on the way. Maximums said before we left the cabin: do you think it’s Sheldon Cooper😅😂 Well, Sheldon onboard is from Jamaica 🇯🇲😝 The buffet was busy with several options. We took a round trip around, so M understood how the layout works😋 He was really impressed and really had 🤩 in his eyes😅🤩🤩🤩 We found a shaded table out on the terrace. I had some salad and the boys went for a mixture of dishes😎 After a long luncheon M & Mr went to Teens Club Location and have a look around pool deck. I on the other hand was ready for a coffee downstairs in Al Bacio☕️ IMG_4991.mov My friendly crew is visible here and there🥰👋🏻🫶🏻🙌🏻 it’s nice to see them again💙 After my coffee break it was time to take action on the suitcases 🧳 I unpacked all 3 and it was time for a shower and start the process of getting ready for the evening. One big thing, it’s not a 19.00 show tonight. The CD will have a port of call talk…. ??? What is this??? 🫣🤔🤔🤔 It’s a comedian show at 21.00 but then we have dinner😔 oh, well…. Don’t make it a habit🧐 Then we have no stress to make anything before dinner tonight😝😅

We took the metro to Piraeus. We walked by the fish market, the churches ⛪️ and to the ship. We docking at Terminal C. It’s the same poor terminal as we had on Edge in October, the tent houses…. We arrived 13.09 Our bags were dropped off in a long line in the burning 🔥 sun. (Fingers crossed they take them inside quickly🙄🤪) Then it was tent number 1. Yes, the waiting tent. Water, chairs and cold towels was available. But really stuffy hot, no ac. Just a little breeze of 2 fans. We were handed out nr 24 when we arrived. They called 20 shortly after we arrived. When they called your number, they take you to tent 2. Then it’s a real house… security line..YES, you remember how the crazy 🤪 line was in October for security and Schengen out stamping🙄🫣🫠😑 This time it’s “only security” so fingers crossed it goes faster😅. And check in🤪 Yep, Greek efficiency strikes again😂😂 We waited for 40 minutes before they called our number. The check in went okay, same line as for security. We just pinged in and scanned passports again. A bit windy on the pier😂 We went straight to our muster station to ping in. The cabin was ready, so we walked upstairs to drop off our hand luggage and pick up our cards. Paperwork on arrival. all familiar faces from May💙⚓️💙 - cd

A very good morning from Athens🇬🇷 We started the day early. It is a 30.minute walk from our hotel Golden City. We meet our guide at the main entrance of Acropolis 07.35. We had booked a small group guided tour by Athens Walking Tours. Great guide and just perfect timing before the crazy crowds were arriving😎 The tour took 1h 45.minutes. after the tour, we walked back to our hotel. Just in time for breakfast😋 Now it’s time to pack up and head to Piraeus⚓️💙🇬🇷 What day is it???? ITS CRUISING DAY🎉⚓️💙⚓️🇬🇷💙

🇬🇷💙🇬🇷 We have not slept in today🤣 We started our day by breakfast on the hotel, it’s included in the price. At 9.00 our guide picked us up Today’s plan was a tour to Cape Sounion, Poseidon temple and a beach 🏖️ break. Our tour was 14 guests. Our guide was friendly and did a great job. We drove to CS first, we arrived before the large buses😎 we had a foto stop in lake Voluligameni on the way. at the temple we had time to walk around and enjoy the view. After the temple we drove to a beach. It was a beachfront restaurant, so you could have lunch, drinks or a swim in the ocean. They had changing rooms, wc and fresh water showers for use. We took a dip in the ocean. The current was strong. But nothing we couldn’t handle😉🏝️ After our designated time on the beach, we drove back to our hotel. As the “good” guy Mr Norwaylady is…. On the way back to Athens at 14.30 he checked FB to see that his wife…. (YES, you know ME🤭 ) has her birthday today🥳 Yep…. It’s a miracle every year🤪🤣😝😅 We had a shower and a change of clothes. Then we walked out for a walk and something to eat😋 We walked to the National library and university. The buildings are nicely decorated. We walked by a church, it was a wedding going on🤩 For dinner we went easy… Souvlaki😋 the Greek 🇬🇷 food nr 1. Maximus really enjoyed it😋😋😋 We continued onward to guard change in the parliament. We had a freddo & water stop🍹 We needed to find a pair of sandals to Maximus… (you know he’s from northern Norway 🇳🇴🤭🙄🤪 no sandals) So he found a slippers pair in the shopping area. As the good wife I am…. Mr really wanted to visit a beer bar😝 YES, you know what happens🤭 I tried to say maybe no🤔 NO… Well, birthday girl didn’t have the final word😝 So of to the beer 🍺 it was. yes, you see that face??? 😝🤭😁 After the beer party, it was time to return to our hotel. We have a early morning tomorrow🙃 We are going to Acropolis before we go to Piraeus⚓️💙⚓️😎
