I have never sailed with Oceania, but I have a 30-day cruise in the spring, and I would really appreciate any suggestions on the "Smart Casual" women's attire for dinner.
Am I looking to pack cocktail dresses, dressy pantsuits, tops with bling paired with silk pants, or some other clothing items?
Thank you for sharing!

My hair has begun falling out in alarming quantities. No change in diet, meds, shampoo, hairbrush. Routine blood tests don't show anything.
There are lots of recent posts on my news pages, but they are all ads, so I have not read any. Perhaps Big Brother knows I've been silently thinking about the subject.
Related? This year I've met two women who have lovely, full hair, but seriously receding hairlines at the front. Beautiful, unblemished skin where there used to be hair.
Any thoughts/remedies/cures?
You may want to try "Thicken Up," a Paul Mitchell product.

I am on a HAL cruise that has a Hobert port call lasting 15 hours next April.
Can anyone reading this please give me a suggestion as to how to go about finding and booking a tour to either Cradle Mountain or Freycinet from the port?
Thank you in advance for any suggestion you may want to offer!

If you are arriving in T3 (United) and connecting out of the G gates in the international terminal, you merely have a short walk inside the secure area to your gates. Piece of cake.
If, OTOH, you are flying out of the A gates, you will have to walk over to G, leave the secure area and walk across the International terminal to the A gates (with a new security screening). Again, relatively simple.
Looking at maps on the SFO airport website will show this all to you. (But then, you have already looked at the SFO website to do your own independent research first.....right?)
I am arriving in T3, and the connection is one of the G gates!
When I initially researched, I did not have the arrival gate.
Thank you so much for responding!

At the end of March I have one hour and 20 minutes in the late evening to connect from San Francisco airport's Terminal 3 to the International Terminal. I'd appreciate any insight anyone would care to share about my realistically being able to accomplish this.

For those of you who cruise frequently on Princess ships, what do you believe the chances would be for a formal (or gala) dress code on St. Patrick's Day when March 17 is a sea day preceded and succeeded by sea days?
Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts.

Midi length is the rage now and they will be "maxi" on you. Or else buy from the misses petite section. My daughter is 5" and she wears maxis a good bit that she buys in the petite misses section. Kohls and Dillard's still have those. I know a lot of stores like Macys and JC Penney has done away with that section but there are still stores that carry petite misses.
Talbots has both a dedicated area for petite misses in their stores, and you can also find petite misses offerings in their catalogs and online. Shop their sales for the best discounts.

On Monday afternoon I called Princess, and I booked B2B cruises for March 2022.
Even though the Captain's Circle membership is showing I have "Elite status" according to the reservation agent, it has been a number of years since I've sailed on a Princess ship.
I seem to have a challenge in securing a place at a table for "Main," i.e, late dining, because I do not have a smartphone or a tablet or any other portable device to make dining arrangements. I use a desktop computer, and I have the old fashioned flip phone for mobile calls, but I leave it at home when I travel internationally. When I told this to the reservation agent, she said, "You'll have to get yourself a smartphone or a tablet so you can sail with us." I was so stunned I didn't know what to say, and the call ended soon after this revelation.
Would someone reading this please let me know if you think there is any way around this dilemma?
Thank you for your time!

I appreciate the original poster's post as I'm in the same situation: sailing solo (for the first time) and without a smartphone. Also appreciate the responses!
If you would like to email me, it's deedeegroff@gmail.com
and please type "Regal Princess" in the subject line. I have done quite a bit of solo cruising in recent years, and I've actually enjoyed it
For whatever it's worth, I have distant maternal family in the Detroit metro area, I spent a lot of time visiting in my younger years (I am not a "golden senior), and I even worked one summer in the Penobscot Building downtown.

I hope this isn't correct. I think we're suppose to board Oct. 30 and I know others on the cruise before us.😮
If you are boarding in Barcelona on October 30 for the repositioning cruise to Fort Lauderdale, I believe you are okay.

It has been some years since I've cruised with Princess, but in the intervening years I have cruised extensively with Holland America.
I am seriously considering booking B2B with Princess (first cruise is 12 nights, the second is 36), and I am wondering if someone reading this post would fill me in on what I've missed. I am particularly interested in "add-ons" to the basic fare plus taxes. Also, if I book directly with Princess, can I transfer booking(s) to a TA?
If it helps, I will be sailing solo, and I'd like to know how MDR works. Are there still traditional dining times, and if so, how would I indicate I'd like to join a table of other solo cruisers?
Thank you very much for bringing me up to date!

I sail solo and you wouldn't believe the prices. I'm glad I booked two cruises last summer and got good prices and freebies.
Same here!

I have only the old fashioned flip phone that I leave home when I travel abroad. I am now using my desktop computer, I don't have a tablet, laptop, etc.
In addition, as some of you know already, I am barely computer literate, so boarding a HAL ship, as I hope to do in September, and adjusting to onboard life in "the after time" should be another interesting experience in and of itself!

Well that’s what I call it, sorry. But it’s the last cabin I would have booked. We can’t do anything right now until the dust settles and they lift the freeze but no, we won’t be in that cabin. If there are no others, the cruise is borderline at best now with the new date and that will be the final straw for us.
Try to keep a positive faith in the future, Jacqui, because you are an inspiration to me, and I'm sure I'm not the only person on this forum who feels the same way!

I definitely miss the smaller ones and will pay for Oceania or Regent with less passengers. Never would consider those behemoths that hold 4,000 or more.
Every time I see an image of one of those behemoths I shudder!

My main point of issue was that Stein Kruse was in charge during the Ashford and many of the changes during Orlando’s term of Presidency.
But please remember it was Arnold Donald who blessed OA's joining HAL, not Stein Kruse.
