  1. IrishMoe. DH & DD used Heidi last week. They both thought she was wonderful. Hopefully you will be able to have the Bermuda favorite for lunch; they got fish sandwiches on raisin bread and couldn't stop talking about how yummy it was. Enjoy her. Good choice.

Took we awhile and just found time to post again since we returned from our cruise. We had a great day with Heidi. Saw just about everything to see on the Island. Heidi was indeed a wonderful tour guide. Took us to a few beaches we had not had the pleasure of visiting before. Good insight for a next return. Yes the lunch was indeed the fish sandwich. So fresh and can I say HUGE!!! More than plenty for two people. While we were enjoying lunch we got to see a giant sea turtle that had been rescued and was now going to be released. Highly recommend her to anyone.

  2. Great review. We were on the same sailing and have to agree with you the staff at dining need more training. Timing of food arrivals was very inconsistent. Either everything came out within minutes of each other or long waits between courses. One night we were in Aqua almost 2 and 1/2 hours from start to finish. One thing I noticed with the UBP promotion they have cut back the wait staff around the pool and lounges. Long lines to get drinks especially the first two days. We had a great time but their is room for improvement and I suppose it could very well be new staff right out of dry dock.

  3. Sorry no menu to post but Los Lobos was excellent. Service was great and although a little slow, everything ordered was spaced appropriately which is a huge plus to me. Nothing worse than having your salad, then seconds later the apps and entree placed on the table.

Drinks ordered and served, then to share items served first Followed by apps, then entrees. Highly recommend the table side guacamole fresh and delicious. Salsa although a bit on the mild side was very fresh. Homemade chips were delicious. Entrees were delicious, we enjoyed the Chicken Tinga rojo burrito, and the poblano peppers. Everyone in our party was extremely pleased by all. Prices extremely reasonable.

Glad to hear it and the sandwich sounds delicious. Can't wait...one week from today we leave.

  5. I'm confused...........

Blue Lagoon had a buffet? When? We've been on the Dawn for the past 4 years and never saw a buffet!

Well buffet is probably the wrong choice of words. Late at night they always had steam buffet trays of burgers, wings and a few other things. The kids in our group always went down late at night for the wings. They were usually down there between 12 and 1 am.

  7. Does anyone know if O'Sheehan's will have the late night buffet that the Blue Lagoon had? The younger crowd in our group used to like the late night chicken wings. I see they are on the menu to order but was curious about the buffet.

    Thanks,

  8. After researching and reading reviews on trip adviser, we have booked our tour with Heidi Cowan from Bermuda Byways. Every review I have read on her say she is simply amazing. Getting excited as we sail on July 15th on the Dawn. It is a 6 hour tour I believe. She limits it to 8 people so it sounds very personal.

  9. So ignoring the UBP for a moment... The OP says only about 10 drinks total are available (and only 50%-60% of those for UBP). If the people who don't have UBP and are paying drink by drink have only 10 drinks to choose from, NCL would lose ungodly amounts of money. That just isn't happening. I think there is some major miscommunication somewhere. Like I said, the drink menus in all the establishments I visited on my 2 cruises last year only show a handful of drinks. That doesn't mean that is all that can be ordered! For example, if I walk up and order a vodka cranberry, they will serve me a vodka cranberry, whether or not it is on the menu.

I hope I'm making sense, and I hope the OP will post more to clarify this. I don't believe that NCL is in the business of cutting off liquor choices for those who are paying drink to drink. They might as well close down the business.

What you are saying makes perfect sense. You are correct there is no way a menu would list every type of drink available. I agree I think there has to be a breakdown in communication somewhere.

  10. That's crazy to limit cocktail/beer choices to only 10 selections. I hope it is just confusion on the part of the bartenders. We went last July and purchased the UDP and just about everything was covered. With the exception of the souvenir glass drinks. We tried a variety from frozen drinks to martinis. Grey Goose may have been considered a specialty but pretty much everything else was fine. It also did vary somewhat from bar to bar as well. Some served drinks in smaller cups and others in full glasses. We just made our reservations with a group of friends because of the UDP special they were running.
