  1. Belize is an Eco country... they are trying to preserve the entire country as "natural" so touring is limited to Mayan ruins, caves, jungle tours, or ocean activities and beaches.

What do you like to do?

We like beaches but are planning to the beach at the other two stops. Any ideas for a Mayan ruins tour with kids and 10 people?

  2. We were on the Paradise for the Jan 18th cruise. We had FTTF and had an excursion through carnival. For those without, they had to get tender tickets early in the morning. As it turned out, the ship arrived at port a lot earlier than they expected. We had instructions to meet in the theater but when we got there, we were instructed to just go down stairs and walk off - no line at all.

    Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for the info. Did you think the FTTF was worth it?

  3. Can someone help me decide on purchasing FTTF? We are going on the Paradise at the end of May and have booked a 3rd party excursion in Grand Cayman. The checkin for the excursion is at 9:00 and we arrive at 8:00. Do you think we will be able to get off the ship in an hour or should I purchase FTTF to make sure? I have tendered at Grand Cayman twice before on the Breeze and it wasn't difficult at all. We just walked to the Ocean Plaza and followed a crew member to the tender. I have read something about having to get tender tickets on the Paradise though. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. We are scheduled to be in Belize in September and I have been trying to research this port as much as possible. I haven't found an interesting excursion yet. Can someone help me out? We have a group of 10 people with 4 adults (30s) and 6 kids from 6-16. I don't think we want to go cave tubing or tubing on the river. Does someone know of a good sightseeing tour or a good beach? The other ports we have been to haven't been this difficult to plan out. Any help would be appreciated.

Back in the balcony we were anchoring.

The tenders getting ready. I wonder how they assign the contracts, a lot of money to be made there.

So at 7:50 I headed to the meeting place for the tender embarkation. There was a fairly large group of people waiting, maybe 70-100 I think. I took a seat and waited for about 5 minutes, then someone came up on the microphone and told us that the tender was ready for us. Well I lie, first we sang happy birthday for someone who was waiting with us. It was really nice that his wife did this for him. I wish to eventually find someone who would do these type of meaningful acts for me someday.

Anyway, they told us to follow them downstairs, and about 3 minutes later I had boarded the tender. I kid you not, I basically worried for nothing. Again I want to ask you what is the point of spending $50 on FTTF, but then again thats just my opinion and nothing more, to each their own.

    Hello Gambee,

I am really enjoying reading your reviews. We are going on the Breeze with the same itinerary on June 1st. I have a question about the tendering process in Grand Cayman. We are planning to just do our own thing and hit the beach. I was reading the Fun Times and it says to meet in the Ocean Plaza on deck 5 at 7:30 and then we won't be able to get off the ship until it is given general clearance around 10:00. Is that true? It sounds like you went to the Ocean Plaza and got right off the boat. I may be reading the Fun Times wrong but it sounds like we have to wait for 2.5 hours. We have two kids so we are just trying to plan what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
