Hubby and I did a Mediterranean cruise last March and research is key. In Barcelona we used the city bus? They had plug ins for headphones and it was so informative. Hop on and hop off what you want to visit. We saw so much and it was very affordable. I got a ton of books and ebooks from the library to help us plan, along with cc boards. Good luck!

When we went to Hawaii, we were able to order tickets and pick up at will call that morning. We did the self tour with headphones and you can go at your own pace. Since I used to live in Hawaii, I'd been before, but it was hubby's first time.

No questions, but thank you for ringing in. You sound like the kind of passenger I love to cruise cruise with, thanks for keeping it positive!

If people wear ripped jeans, I want to be able to wear spandex tights to dinner. After all, it's my vacation, not anyone else's. Note, I am a guy in my 50's.
Where is the like button?[emoji1]

Our family of 6 (I'm the smallest as the mother 3 teen boys, one tall teen daughter and my hubby) rented a Navigator last year in Las Angeles and touristed around for 10 hours before our flight. Had a wonderful time with all of our luggage.....

Cruise
Gratuity
Parking — all paid for.
$2700 is what is left.
We have UBP.
Haven’t paid for excursions but thinking 2 jet skis at GSC and taxi to Melia for Day pass in Nassau. Friends we are traveling with booked private cabana on GSC.
I’m bringing our own snorkel gear.
After reading responses, will not do dining plan. May consider spa treatment for me instead ;)

We got the cabana and that was the best deal of the first cruise for us. Got I think 4 sets of snorkel gear and brought our own from home. Son and I were out and had a ray swim right under us. Loved the drinks and the lunch that came with our lunch. So nice to not have to worry about our seats being taken while out playing on the island.

Did you kiddos like the kid programs? Entourage? My boys are 16 and 13 and my 16 yo doesn’t want to go!
I have 4 kiddos and we are going on their 3rd cruise in 3 years. They LOVE entourage and the friends they made there, when they first went, they had some issues with the "older" kids, but since they had their siblings they just ignored them and pretty soon others followed their lead and the "problem" kids settled down and all was well after the 2nd day. This cruise we are including my daughter's boyfriend, should be interesting as those 2 are adults now and my boys will be 17, 15 and 15 when we cruise. Lots for them to do on board. Our last cruise had a cake decorating contest, ceramic painting, and the kids got to play bingo for free, so one paying adult and the kids played free. One of their teen club friends won their family a free cruise. Scavenger hunt night was interesting.
Hope he has fun, and he has his brother with him, shop maybe that will help?

We LOVED the float boats as a fun little diversion upon arrival. We're returning in a few weeks, and will likely rent again with the kids. Go to the 6min mark in this video:

Thank you for your video, very informative! Beautifully done!
No Margaritaville. There's a place called the Landshark Bar & Grill. Also to the OP, you didn't mention what ship you were on, but wasn't O'Sheehans an option for lunch on board?

Part of what made our Costa cruise so wonderful for us was being upgraded 3 levels for free, what a spectacular bonus that was for us! It was a spur of the moment cruise that celebrated our 20th anniversary, hubby's birthday, and only our 3rd time ever without the kids.

We did a Costa cruise this spring in the Mediterranean and loved it. There seemed far more things for us on the ship and the piano bar was a blast. It is helpful if you can understand other languages, we met so many couples from different nationalities and had the best time.

Sorry, just looked and now they specify 13, too bad, that was good for us as three twins were 12, had a 13 and 15 as well, so they were all together in there both of the last 2 cruises we went on.

Well, if you go and it's at a decent time (not during our pub crawl, LOL) then Hubby, the in-laws and I will probably be there. On our cruise in February they had a special drink that you couldn't get anywhere else the rest of the week that was really good! I think we each had 3 of them....
