Everyone had their phones and GoPros on our GSC excursion.  Perhaps they had some issues with the pigs chomping on some of them?  Or maybe they just want the extra $$$ for the souvenir photos...

I was assuming it was the cruiseline trying to sell the photos

  2. I am cruising in Feb and was hoping to see the pigs on this trip as well I didn't realize Exuma is 82 miles from Nassau. I did see that GSC offers it but I wanted the real experience as well plus there was notes that you are not allowed to have your phone, camera, go pro. Sure I can buy a $20 photo but with 4 us that would be pricey. I may have to do it anyway since I was so looking forward to it. And book a separate non cruise to experience Exuma.

  3. I have the NCL Credit card we are cruising Feb 2020 Debating if I should use my credit on this trip or save for the next once to save even more money. I just realized that the points expire.

My final payment is due in a week or so is it a quick process to redeem and get them credited?

That doesn't imply that all 4 people can use the bath at the same time just because it is larger !

For real convenience and comfort the 2 BR suite with separate bath/shower/commode is the answer !

I agree 2 bedroom was life changing for us however bedroom #2 is tiny (fine w kids though) its the second bathroom that was amazing! Some sailings it is not too bad of an upgrade others price jump from mini suite is more than double.

  5. I agree the dawn pool area is great for younger kids and they have their own hot tub in the kiddie pool area. My kids LOVED that when they were smaller. We sailed the Dawn a year ago and the theme for the kids was circus so there was different time slots for them to learn tricks and there was a magic show they could join but they had to go to all practices so my kids didn't bother with that but they loved the learn to whatever when we did those.

Casino on Dawn was very smoky my husband would have to leave him clothes on the balcony just to air them out. I hope they switch casino to non smoking at some point.

  6. I'm on the same sailing as you, looking forward to it! Have you joined the Roll Call yet? It's located here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2315672

Also, a passenger on the 12/11-18 voyage on Breakaway was nice enough to snap pictures of the Dailies, so while they may not be the exact schedule for 2/26, they may help you plan: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2435576

And like the previous poster said, log into the NCL website and see what nights the shows are scheduled for and work from there!

awesome thanks I will check those out, that should make it so much easier!

Ill check out the roll call as well

  7. First time sailing on the Breakaway and I have heard I will want to book dinner and shows prior to the sail date. How do I know what I want to do and when LOL. With out the ships dailys how will I know whats the best days and times to pick for shows.

Is there a way to see the ships main restaurants menus before hand for each day?? We never pre book them and then get frustrated when we cant get in and end up just eating buffet since we are hungry. Id like to be better prepared this time especially since its a much larger ship.

I am traveling w my hubby and 2 kids 9 & 11 (I heard rock of ages isn't kid friendly) also my brother will be cruising w us in his own room(his 1st cruise).

3/1 is our anniversary so I will most likely do Cagneys that night just need to pick a time.

Any help is appreciated Im starting to panic as its getting closer!
