Define chilly. I'm from New England and water at the beach is freezing all season until maybe August. Swimmable still?

A fairly general question that applies to most caribbean beaches, is there a cost of entry?
If going to Emerald or Lindbergh for example, do you merely pay cab fare + chair rental? Or if you're fine without a chair can you just stroll onto the sand and enjoy the beach?

I recently was on the Celebrity Reflection and the Persian Garden was worth every penny, but I feel like a big part of that might have been the beautiful panoramic view of the ocean that made the entire area feel open and relaxing. I have an upcoming sailing on the Symphony soon and am interested in springing for the thermal suite, (the RC equivalent). The description states that it has all the same facilities more or less, but the only really pictures I can gather appears like the entire area is completely inside. Has anyone here bought into the thermal suite on any of the Oasis-class ships (I imagine they're all identical)? Would you say the placement of the facility detracted from the experience? Worth the cost? I will never understand why Royal chooses to cast off their spa to a dreary dungeon in the bowels of the ship on Oasis-class.

Bar Harbor is so far north of Florence's initial land fall I'd be surprised if anythint noteworthy makes its way up

Expect mostly generic macro brews with caribbean toss-ins like Red Stripe. Also will likely vary slightly from where you're sailing from/to

So when would your final payment be? If my math is correct you are at somewhere around 49 days, 7 weeks at 7days. IF payment is due at 90 days, wouldn't you be past the final and cancelled? When we sail Princess payment is due at 75 days.
Oh no, I'm 7 weeks or so away from my final payment due date. My actual sailing is 4 months or so from now.

Oh wow, this is very good to know. I have a cruise booked and actually completely forgotten what my deadline to pay is. I have a seperate Celebirty cruise that gave me email alert reminders and what not. I figured to check on my Royal cruise and saw I have like 7 weeks left. Guess I should just pay asap to avoid the risk.

Mike's is big-time tourist trap, but I guess worth visiting for just that reason. If you're going to Mike's be informed it's cash only

Boston resident as well,
The New England Aquarium is certainly worth a visit. Also for New England Seafood recommendations I would say definitely try Sail Loft; walking distance from the aquarium and really amazing food. Faneuil Hall does feature local vendors, but still a touristy spot with inflated prices that reflect that.

That's a steep difference for a virtually identical ship, nty

I usually like to fly in early in the morning of for a cruise to avoid to cost of a hotel. Flying from Boston to Miami is generally a simple, direct flight. However I'm looking at my Symphony sailing in January and thinking there's a good chance one winter storm can cancel the entire trip. Needless to say, I'm looking at hotels

Glad this was mentioned because I went and checked my planner and ended up saving $50 on the ultimate drink package between me and my girlfriend.
-
My Son took a three day cruise on NCL where everyone had the drinks packages. He said it was awful. Soooo many drunks acting out.
But if you were ALSO drunk you wouldn't know the difference and you'd be having a grand ol' time

We tried taking a nice Belgium beer on with similar packaging and they caught it.

Aw, that's a real bummer, especially since these bottles are anything but cheap
-
I'm a huge craft beer > liquor guy on land, but I'm not going to get the most bang for my drink package buck that way so cocktails for the entire week. The fact that craft options don't exist anyway just makes it that much easier

Honestly Solarium should be at least 18+. There are plenty of exclusive children/teen only areas on board, there should be a space for adults other then bars/clubs

What is this law that only allows certain brands or alcohol? I don't get it
EDIT: Nvm, read all but the last two posts that explained it it detail...

Verizon makes it pretty hard to get hit with surprise bills. In Canada/Mexico you can use your plan as your regularly would for an extra $2/day

If you could get beer in a 750 ml bottle the chances of it being found and denied are virtually zero.
They do sell 750ml bottles of speciality/table beers that are often even labeled as if wine. Any experience with these? Here is a sour I personally enjoy that is pretty indistinguishable from a bottle of wine. I highly doubt they would take the time to open a bag, inspect the label and description so they can deny it
-
I also have bogo booked for Symphony and am hoping to be able to reschedule my second specialty restaurant for the third night so I can take part in formal night
-
The constant selling is obnoxious. We're not taking a free cruise in exchange for a time share sales pitch. We're spending thousands of dollars to take a relaxing vacation

I wonder if there's any enforcement for just passing these cups along to a friend you may be sailing with. I have zero interest in soda and my buddy is addicted to it. I honestly wouldn't feel too bad about it seeing as how the soda syrup for the freestyle machines itself cost nickels to provide.

We are cruising on Anthem in June. We last cruised her two years ago. At the time my son was 16 and very much enjoyed teen club and met up with some nice teens to socialize with during the cruise. He will have just turned 18 when we sail. He is now excluded from teen club and is really too young to enjoy adult activities. And I don't really want him hanging with 25 year olds. Does Royal offer anything for the 18-20 age group? I want him to enjoy his cruise and make friends but how can he find others his age?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

To be honest, not much from personal experience. I am a bit older now, but I recall several years ago myself being in the age bracket and thinking just what you put into words. I was too old to take part in any teen programs and too young for any of the adult stuff. I think I tooled around the casino lightly once and did the comedy club but felt largely left out of the fun my (just a few years) younger/older cousins were having.

I have walked through the entire boarding process lugging around a 24 pack in open sight.
