  1. I've checked their site and it says cost is $23 per day.  It's been at least 10 years since we last used that parking facility.  If I remember right, when we drove in we got a parking slip and then after our cruise when we exited the parking facility, handed in slip and then paid with CC at that time.

Has this changed?  I assume it is still this way.  Some one asked about paying in advance, but I think there is no way to pay advance.  Just pay after cruise as you exit the parking lot.

    Is it still this way?

  2. I believe Carnival has set up a program with Quest Labs.  I read somewhere that they are working with Quest Labs to provide a place for testing.  Article said prior to date of cruise you will receive an  E-Mail with a link for Quest Labs that will provide a address for testing.

My wife and I recently got a test through Quest labs (we had some symptoms).  I've use them before for lab tests.

I would suggest you go on their site and create an account.  Very easy to do and this must be done prior to receiving any tests.

Just a note.  I believe any test that Carnival will use must be tests that are done by medical staff and not done be yourself in a home test.

I believe I read that you can purchase home test but it must administered  by medical staff.

When we got our tests we had some symptoms, so Quest directed us to go to a Walmart Drive- thru pharmacy where test were done by us in the car.  Pharmacist instructed us in procedure, as he was behind glass.

When we got test result (neg) it said self administered, which I don't think Carnival would accept.

I believe that if I told Quest I had no symptoms and just needed test for cruise, I would have gone in and test results would have said , done by medical staff.

When I tested with symptoms, our insurance paid for, but I doubt this would be acceptable for a Carnival as, it was self administered.

So, id make sure where ever you get the test it is administered by medical staff wherever you get the test.  I assume pharmacies would be ok if administered by their staff (not by drive thru procedure, where you do test with guidance).

  3. Had great service, very clean. They need a reservation system for shows. I only saw one comedy show because the aft room they use is too small, so you have to wait in line. Same for main theater.

Great food options. If it wasn’t for waiting in line for shows, we would sail on vista again.

  4. Never noticed any issues with Carnival’s TP. I’m not sure they would want you bringing in your own TP, as I’m sure they want to control what goes in their septic systems. You wouldn’t want to be the one that flooded your toilet due to wrong TP.

  5. My wife and I were on top deck and we had just laid down on a deck chair to catch some sun. All of a sudden it started to sprinkle rain. I looked up and nothing but blue sky. I then turned around around and saw an elderly Asian man with his grandson standing facing out at the rail. I then realized the little boy was peeing! The wind was blowing it piss all over the top deck. I yelled at the guy and pointed out the bathroom below on lido deck. My wife and I had to go shower to get the yellow rain off.[emoji51]
