As Jim mentioned, if you don't want to pay 1 year ahead, delay booking until the time you want to pay. However, it should be noted that many of the 2019 cruises are already sold out, which may restrict the options.

While I'm not overly happy paying for a cruise 1 yr in advance, if the option is returning to mega ships to get 90 day full payment, I'll stick with Viking. Also note that when I book flights 11 months in advance, I pay in full at time of booking, same with the hotel I just booked pre-cruise.

I guess Viking is very much in demand but they asked me to pay 1 and a half years in advance.  I am going to call today and see what I can do about changing it.  But they seem fixed on the rules.  Not willing to bend.  I guess I will loose my deposit if they do not change and I cancel.

I am annoyed that Viking is requiring final payment one year before your cruise.  How can they get away with that?  I guess if people pay it, they will continue to do it.

I booked a Viking Cruise for October 2020 a long time ago.  I just looked at the invoice and they want final payment by June 2019.  That is a year and a half in advance.  I am thinking of cancelling this cruise because of this.  I have gone on many cruise lines and none have asked for final payment that far in advance.

We are on a June 16th sailing Into the Midnight Sun but it’s on

Jupiter, not the Sky.  Are there two?  We’re leaving from Bergen

My mistake in typing.  I was thinking of two different cruises and got them mixed up.  I had trouple finding into the midnight sun on the Jupiter on June 16th.  It did not seem to be on the regular roll calls.  Hope to meet you on the ship.  We are looking for bridge players on the sea days.

  5. We are looking at an ES2 cabin on the 6th deck.  Has any one stayed in one.  It is under the infinity pool.  Was there noise from hosing the pool deck down during the day.  Is there a lot of noise from above..deck chairs, etc?

  6. Lots of people her recommend the YWCA in downtown. Check to see if that's available.

The Holiday In Express, Accent Inns and Holiday Inn near the airport have good reviews on Booking.com and are a decent price on 6/9/18 (just picked a date because I didn't know when you needed the room).

Will take care of it....thanks for all your help
  7. As indicated by CruiserBruice this is not a unique situation with Allure and is not necessarily an experiment. A number of RCI ships have changed their traditional seating dining times similarly by moving them up 30 minutes. That is one of the reasons we choose MTD so that we can plan our dining according to our schedule, not theirs.
I am new to Allure of the Seas ...Will we have to wait on line if we have FreeStyle Dining?
  8. We are booked on the Nov 4th Regatta Miami to Miami ...Some of the days there is more than one excursion. Is there anywhere I an find reviews by people who took these excursions? How do we find bridge players onboard?
