$10 to $20, depending on how many bags we have. I'm always very pleasant to the people handling my luggage; I don't want to start my vacation with missing luggage. Once, when flying to Seattle from San Diego, my wife was snarky to the airline agent. My bag showed up in Seattle, my wife's bag went to Reno!

My guess is 3. One per week.

What I don't understand, in this day and age, is why HAL requires the shareholder benefit be FAXED or SNAIL MAILED but not emailed? The other lines accept email proof & application.
How many individuals have a fax machine at home? I don't have a home land line to fax something even if I had that antiquated machine.
You can send a fax for free using your computer (limit 2 faxes per 48 hours) at:
myfax.com/free/sendfax.aspx
You can send unlimited faxes if you sign up for their fee based service.

$5....my wife has breakfast in the room everyday. After the first day, breakfast always arrives on time, and if she requests items not on the menu, or extra cream for her coffee, it's all delivered.

Shootings in the tourist area yesterday.
Please be safe when visiting or stay onboard.
Seriously? Acapulco is not Puerto Vallarta or Cabo! Also, your admonition is like saying, "Shooting in Chicago, 30 people shot over the weekend. Be careful when you go to San Diego. Stay on the ship."

Has anyone been on the Princess Copalita Archaeological Exploration tour? I searched Huatulco on this forum, and the most recent post was from about a year ago. We'll be on a Panama Canal cruise and have never been to this port. I love ruins, so our thought was to take the ruins tour in the morning and then go to the beach. Are there any private guides you would recommend?
From what I learned on this forum, there's a beach near where the ship docks. Are there any other beaches we should consider? We like to snorkel, so a beach with some rocks near by is preferable.
I was at the Copalita site this past March. There is a nice musem on site. There are a few small structures and one larger one. All are roped off and you can't get near them. If you are expecting to see a site like Teotihuacan or Chichen Itza, you will be dissapointed.

... you call your hotel room a cabin!
When someone mentions the name of any cruise ship, and you tell them where it is.

I look at the standard tips that are added to my account as part of the routine pay the crew gets. Of course you can add or subtract from these automatic gratuities. I always plan on tipping individual crew that go above and beyond, even though I know they share in the standard gratuities. These will include, but are not limited to my favorite bar tenders, barista, room stewards, and my waiter and assistant waiter.

All it takes is six drinks a day to break even. If you have coffee in the morning and a couple of bottles of water per day, and three beers or cocktails, your all set.

I just tried using several different systems - Explorer, Mozilla and Chrome, all with the pop-up blockers off, and no luck.

I see your point RuthC. I never would of thought of booking multiple excursions ahead of time, then canceling the ones I didn't want after boarding. But you're right, I'm sure it happens.

Why does HAL charge for online tour reservations at the time the booking is made? Every other cruise line I have been on let's you book online and then adds the your cost to your onboard account.

I bought a set of six luggage tag holders from http://www.*******************.com;
Product code LT-53-PD. They are designed to hold cruise ship luggage tags, are very sturdy and come with heavy duty, plastic loops that you affix to any luggage handle. They cost me $20, with tax and shipping.
I did not realize that the web address would be censored. The name of the company is Favors By Serendipity (******************* dot com)

I've printed out mine also but one thing bothers me....how do we fix the luggage tags to our luggage? I don't plan on carrying a stapler and I can't staple them on at home because the airlines would tear them off. Here's what I may do:
(1) Borrow a stapler from the hotel front desk
(2) Use punch to make a hole in the labels and tie them on with a brightly colored string (like yarn) while standing in line
(3) ? put them on using your instructions

The Double Tree hotel in San Pedro has park, sleep and sail packages that let you leave your car in their lot while you cruise. It also includes a shuttle to the cruise terminal, which is only a few minutes away.

I too was curious why HAL would promote the OBC as "on-board" only. Having never sailed with HAL I decided that I would book the one excursion that I had to have ahead of time, so as not to risk the excursion being sold out by the time I boarded. I was surprised to find out that on HAL you pay for your excursions when you book them. This is contrary to all the other cruise lines that I have sailed on that let you reserve excursions anytime, and then post the charges on your final bill at the end of the cruise. So it makes sense that if they are promoting a Shore Excursion OBC, that you would need to book it on board to get the benefit.

The Spa staff are not Princess employees. You should have spoken to the Hotel Manager.

Are you on the 28 day this year? Or :cool:2015?

Yes' date=' we had a Hawaii night theme at the buffet, on a Hawaii cruise on the Sapphire, in March, 2013. It was great! It was served the night we were in Honolulu, when there was also special entertainment in the Princess Theater.
A special night! :)[/quote']
Thank you for the replies and the information.

My wife heard that there is a Hawaii Night dinner on every Princess cruise. We're booked on a 28-day cruise - does anyone know if this is just held once per cruise? thanks.

Thanks to all for the information.

Sorry for the mundane questions, but how do you pay for using the washer and driers in the laundry rooms? Do the machines take quarters, dollar bills? Thanks in advance.
Carnival tipping to Bag Porters

The porter at the cruise terminal is the only longshoreman you interact with, therefore the only one you can tip. You can't follow your bags and tip everyone along the way.
