To the OP, one thing I didn't see mentioned in all of these replies, is that since there are 6 couples, had you booked all together with a TA (or even directly with Celebrity - but I prefer a TA so I'm dealing with the same advisor throughout my planning and traveling), you could have booked as a group. Possibly getting a better rate and some extra perks. Something to keep in mind for your next cruise, whether you use Celebrity or not.
Because there WILL be a next cruise! :D

I'm cruising for the first time on Celebrity next month and when I saw the title of this post, I thought "Oh, no, what kind of unexpected charges am I in for?". Then I read the OP and almost laughed. Third world problems - complaining about having to pay an extra $1.18 for 2 glasses of wine. Well, at least I know I don't have to plan to plan for several hundred $$ in extra expenses.

Agree, use a good TA. They will get you the best rates, take care of all the deposits, etc, and Celebrity pays them.
Need help finding a cruise for multigenerational family

I would suggest finding a good cruise specialist travel agent - one who can suggest the best cruise line and itinerary for the different age groups. Depending on how many of you there are, they might also be able to put together some great private excursions (or suggest tour operators) for you.
