  1. We went to Las Caletas in June of 2016 with Vallarta Adventures. We didn't spend any time with the water equipment, but my wife and I, 44, went on those crazy things in Adventure Cove. (Think that's what they called it.) Food was buffet style and decent, we did what we wanted and didn't have issues, some others might have.

Our favorite excursions through Vallarta Adventures were #1. Outdoor Adventure, #2. Extreme Zipline and #3. Las Caletas. We had three teens with us and it was pretty unanimous for the order. We are active and like the adrenaline things.

I'm sure all of these trips are offered through the ship as well.

  2. I had 20, 17 and 15 year olds with me. We did the Marriott. This week. There was also a kid splash area, your kid might like it or it might be too “little” for them. The pool has a volleyball net we used. We grabbed a taxi van from the dock. Paid 550 pesos per person and were credited back 450 towrds food and drinks. I would recommend it highly for a resort day.

Perhaps getting a quote on the taxi ride first, we got screwed. Maybe heading out of the gate and finding a taxi on the road as opposed to those in the tender area. It was convenient. $20 for the ride, the most expensive ride by far that day.

Don’t know why I said tender area, you dock at the pier. Weird. I would walk out of the dock area and find a cheaper taxi, but if you are willing to pay their rate they are right there waiting.

  4. We went to the Marriott on 12/20. 550 pesos for the day per person, 450 credit toward drinks and food. We weren’t able to eat that much food. Was a nice pool with volleyball net, swim up bar, lots of pool chairs with umbrellas. The waiters were great too! You could walk down to the beach. Nicest part after Cabo was no vendors on the pool deck. I would do it again, thought it was a perfect rec. Thanks Ine!

  5. We are sitting on the Miracle waiting to get off right now. We tendered at Cabo. I would say you might want to purchase Faster to the Fun. We did not change times in Cabo and they are an hour ahead. I was told we would use port time, but this was not case, we moved an hour ahead for PV only. We were able to get off and be on a tender 35 minutes after the process started without FTTF.

  6. In Puerto Vallarta Hotel Krystal charges a little entrance fee but of course you need to buy food and drink. Recently it was posted the Marriott charges like US$ 45,- of which US$ 35,- is for food.

Also Hotel Tropicana is old town gives our daypasses, but I donot know what they charge.

Be aware however that during Easter week hotels will be extremely full and often because of that they donot give out day passes.

You can always go to Playa Los Muertos and enjoy the beach there while eating/drinking in one of the many restaurants.

I'm interested in Marriott. I take it you have done this before? Also, what's the best way to do this, show up or reserve in advance?

    Thanks!

  7. We are going to try the Amazing Race Cabo when we go, we loved the one in Cozumel, so hopefully this one will be fun too. When we stayed in PV we used Vallarta Adventures, did the Xtreme Adventure and the Outdoor Adventure, can't recommend them enough, those days made our trip. Those are lots of zips, so you don't want to do that, we also used them for Las Caletas, it was nice, but we enjoyed the active stuff much better.
