In June, the Island had "Alfredo's in Sabatini's" several times for lunch.

Basically, they offered free pizza Alfredo style at that venue. It was very popular each time it was offered.

Not known is if they will continue this or, if they do, charge for it.

I am sure the line would much shorter if they charged $12/person for it.

I see the work around here that Princess is doing to accommodate for the 2 free casual dining experiences with the Princess Plus.

Caribill: did they have the full Alfredo’s menu…or just free Pizza ?

  2. Hello and thanks for all the great info and pic’s. We’ll be on the Caribbean Princess Sept 9..can’t wait 👍

We have Princess plus which includes 2 Casual dinings free of charge at Planks and or Steamers, they both normally seem to have a $12 cover charge, might I ask if you have seen them both open ? Or,not open and just extension of the buffet?
Many thanks in advance if you find the time to post a reply.

  3. Ahoy all experienced Oceania cruisers, I am trying to understand the “at lunch and dinner” specifics of the house select option. ( never been on Oceania, but soon will be )

Are there specific hours they consider to be lunch and dinner times ?

Are there specific venues they consider eligible or ineligible?

Most often dining rooms are closed for lunch on port days leaving buffet or pool grill as eating options… will I be able to get a beer or glass of wine at these 2 venues whenever they are open, assuming I get food?

Often we like to head to buffet area at back of ship and sit outdoors for a pre dinner for a cheese plate and glass of wine before heading to dining room, will the house select cover that wine ?

And just on a whim…let’s say it’s 3:00 in the afternoon and we’re at the pool area and the grill is open….if I decide to grab a plate of fries and want a beer to quench my thirst…is the beer covered on the package?

Did anyone find it overly restrictive?

  4. 2 cruises booked in next 90 days that require pre test -( Canada /Greece )

Therefore 4 tests at $70 each in our area = $280

    Covid recovery document :

    Positive PCR - already have

Dr’s note - Free in our area

    Zero cost vs. $280

They created the protocol , I’m just trying to find someone who’s used it .

  5. Hello, we are fully vaccinated and fully recovered from Covid more than 10 days ago and less than 90.

Our upcoming sailing ports in Canada as such we require either a negative test prior to boarding OR meet the Covid Recovery protocol, which would be providing proof of the positive test result and a Dr’s note.

No contact with NCL to date as been able to provide confirmation of what information is required on the Dr’s note.

we will put Name, birthdate, confirmation that we have recovered, on the Dr’ letterhead and dated.

Has anyone been either successful providing said on a previous NCL cruise or obtained any firm details as to what should be written on the Dr’s note?

The roll call for my sailing has been helpful but I thought it best to expand my search for information as we would hate to show up for embarkation and be refused by NCL because we are missing an element of detail.

    much appreciated,Bob

  6. With the new announcement from the Fed's that all Canadians will be tested upon arrival, unless arriving from the USA, does it not seem silly to be required to take a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival if we'll be tested upon arrival anyway ?  IE flying back from Europe.

Or has anyone heard of an upcoming change to the 72 hour prior testing requirement ?

  7. So I just did our check in for our Royal Caribbean transatlantic from Barcelona which has us in a Schengen country within 14 days of arriving in the US. Due to the Presidential proclamation not allowing non US citizens into the US who have been in a Schengen within the past 14 days it appeared we could not take the cruise….BUT Royal’s on line check in asked us if we would be in the US for more than 8 hours after disembarkation which has us thinking they found a loophole and perhaps the cruise is possible.

Anyone had this happen to them too ?
