We will be sailing out of New Orleans in March 2018. We will be flying in a day before cruise and are looking for a hotel

that is near the cruise port and also easily accessible to the french quarter. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We just got off the Escape and had a mid-ship mini suite balcony. The bed was next to the balcony.

No,,I dont think they are any bigger with the bed near the closet. Some people said they dont like the bed there, but it did not bother us. Just happy to be sailing on Sept. 10.:)

I will be in Room 11220 on the Escape in September. I also had Room 11220 previously on the BREAKAWAY and the bed was near the closet, so I am thinking that it may be by the closet on the Escape. We also loved the location and thats why we chose this room again.

My hubby and I will be sailing out of Miami in September to go on the ESCAPE and we were thinking of going to a Marlins game also. We figure it will be easy to get a taxi from the hotel, but did you have any trouble getting a taxi for the ride back? Are there taxis parked there?

I was on the Breakaway this past week - Sept. 7 to Sept. 14 . I was on the left side of the boat. This side faced the Dockyard.

If anyone has been on this ship recently, please help. My hubby and I are still thinking about buying the beverage plan. He only drinks beer and I like beer, wine and other cocktails, but I would be happy with just beer and wine. Can anyone tell me if they know the average price of beer (say Bud light). Then we can figure out if it is worth it for us or should we just pay as we go.
