Our upcoming ruise stops in Koper, Slovenia prior to Venice but since my fiance and I didn't see anything we want to do in Kiper, I was thinking of going to Venice a day early, getting a hotel and meeting up with the cruise ship when it arrives.

Has anyone done this? If so, what is the easiest/cheapest way to get from Koper to Venice?

1) Is there any big difference between Brac and Trstenik?

2) How far is Brac Island from the cruise terminal?

3) If we arrive at 7am and leave at 4pm, does that allow us enough time to go to one of these beaches for about 2-3 hours and then have time to walk around the Dioclentian's Palace? Also, how far is the Dioclentian's Palace from the cruise terminal?
