Work, work, work - there's too much work!! It's really cutting into my packing time. 🧳🧳Thank goodness for creamers and chargers or I'd have nothing packed. 🫣😢

I'm running outta time, people - someone please send the Motivator to my house!!

We got about 15 min of rain yesterday and that distracted me - I had to see it to believe it. When I came back in, I'd lost my will to pack, lol.

I'll get a good couple hours in tonight, though. Or so I tell myself.

See, here's the problem - because I really don't know what the weather's going to be, I don't know what to pack. And I refuse to overpack. So I'm stuck.

Am I over thinking this? I feel like it shouldn't be this hard - by the 30th cruise, I should be on autopilot, no?

Well, Carnival says they're gonna see me soon, so I'm going to go make an effort. If y'all are the bettin' kind, someone might want to start a pool...

I don’t know whether to pack for the Bahamas or Canada at this point 🤣

  2. I just checked my cruise planner for my Venezia cruise next month and Coke Zero, Sprite Zero, Barq's, Seagram's Ginger Ale & Tonic Water, Diet Coke, and Fanta Orange are all options in additional to the Pepsi products.

I hope this means they are making the switch. The other Carnival family lines all have coke products!

We were on the Anthem from Bayonne Dec 26th.  2d time on Anthem.  Nice ship, typical RCL experience, but, the MDR food left a lot to be desired!  In past experience , I always found Carnival  MDR food better  ( pre covid).  On Venezia 8/2 so should be able to make solid comparison.

Agreed. Carnival has always had better food. I did the ultimate comparison in 2021 when I sailed Carnival for 4 days and then got off the ship and sailed on Royal for the next 4 days. There was no comparison. Carnival's complimentary offerings are just much better.

  4. Great decision! Completely worth it if you take advantage of the amenities.

We actually love the thermal suite. Just realized they come with so it’s a win win. Would have bought them anyways.  I think we are going to grab it. Thermal suite is close, the bars I want to be in and comedy are one floor up and casino 2 up. Will be in those areas majority of time.

    Thanks!

  5. Unless you were already planning on buying the spa pass, I would stay in your room. The Spa cabins only hold 2, so any cabin in the immediate area would not have kids, but everywhere else on Deck 5 is fair game. They could walk by your cabin on the way to the FWD elevators.

I typically stay on lower floors just so I don't feel the ship as much at the top.

  6. There is no "Carnival" parking. There will be signs that say which garage/lot to park in. I don't recall there being a ton of handicap spots like at Ex: Disney World. There are several garages/lots.

Most of the time, the ship is not across from the parking, so I would advise dropping off passengers who cannot walk far and luggage first before parking. There is a shuttle to the garage/lot if it's not across the street.

I would only recommend parking at the pier, there are really no good off-port options in Miami.

  7. Whenever my friend and I ordered drinks, we would give them one of our medallions and switch every time we ordered a drink. However, the majority of the time they would ask for the cabin number and we automatically charged them to me. I guess because I am the male. If we were sitting at a bar together, the bartender would just alternate between us.

I would prefer if they would charge each drink by person, but I'm assuming on Princess they are not typically catering to the clientele that reaches 15 a day, but we did several days of the trip. 🤣

You can make them aboard, either day or or day before, or walkup (there may be a short wait)

How do you know the cruise is sold out?

All three dining rooms are open, even though only 2 show on the app.  Dining room hours are 5-9.

The cruise has been unavailable for the past several weeks and we are sailing in 12 days. Not sure if it’s sold out due to staffing issues.

    Thank you for the advice.

  9. So there's not many dining times available pre-cruise. I'm only seeing late dining times past 8:30 in Allegro/Concerto.

Do I really need reservations before the cruise, or can I just make reservations same-day as I go? The cruise is sold out..

This is my first time on a medallion class ship.
