We are looking at the drinks package, can't justify x3 for 17 days =$3000. For our booze bill alone.

please read the thread carefully, the word handicapped is derived from the phrase "cap in hand" in other words looking for charity or hand outs. it's just a thing which annoys us. :oHandicapped is not a phrase indicating someone is not functional or unable to live a very productive life. I have two relatives that are handicapped in that they are either unable to walk without a cane or a walker. We consider that handicapped as they require assistance beyond the norm. It is not a derogatory comment in any way, merely a statement they need the assistance mentioned above. -
Yes, but they can be hard to get. Some are booked as soon as the cruise is available for reservations.
You have to verify that there is a handicap when you do the reservation. If you go to the Princess website and "ghost" book a cabin (don't go all the way to BUY), you will see a button that asks "are you handicapped". Click it.
Also, on some ships the furthest aft mini-suites on Dolphin deck were supposed to be handicapped. The doors are wider and the bathroom is definitely a handicap bathroom, but they were never certified due to a glitch in the set-up. Depending on her problem, that could be an option.
See this thread for pix of that cabin...http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1959727
We are really looking forward to our grand Asia tour, in a couple of weeks. This will be our first cruise with Princess, previously we have cruised extensively with RCI. And there Disabled cabins were excellent, hopefully Princess will be of similar standard. As a side note, we dislike the phrase ( handicapped) we appreciate this is widely used in the USA, our son who has cerebral palsy, leads a full and productive life. We have never gone begging, ( cap in hand) for anything.

. It would be a little embarrassing asking for three straws with my bottle of bud. (each passenger must purchase a drinks card).Out of curiosity where does it say no sharing of drinks on the AIB .Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

But if you like wine by the bottle then all can share on 1 card.
Drinks package, around $2500. A bottle of average and overpriced wine for say $50 - 40% works out about $30 say four glasses of wine
-
Wine-by-the-bottle is an interesting case, as everyone you
care to share with benefits from the package, while only
one person needs to purchase the package.
This must endlessly annoy the purists here.
It's a pity jd, by the bottle is not included :D . The inclusive drinks total for our upcoming 17 day cruise would be around $2500. For three of us, it would save numerous trips to the bar if we could get away with just one of us going for all inclusive. ;) we're not cheap by any means but we would have to be very thirsty or just greedy to justify this option.

Hi, we are also on this cruise, and at the moment our plan is is to have two to three hundred pounds in Chinese RMB. For Shanghai three days, as for the other ports of call we've decided to to use ATM or banks. I think in Busan for example there will be a local tourist board set- up at the quay with an ATM facility.

Hello all, we are sailing with Princess for the first time, Sapphire Far East cruise September 3rd. We have booked an accessible cabin, as our son is disabled. Can anyone help with information on these cabins, compared with R.C.I. For example, we have sailed with them on numerous occasions and they always look after us very well.
