Great review. We sailed on the Breeze the week of Nov 12 and was our 2nd time this year, 3rd time overall on Breeze. It’s our fav ship so far too. But we sail in Vista next year so we shall see if the Breeze keeps her status. Ha!
I am kicking myself because I failed to bring home the Fun Times this trip and can’t remember the name of the hisband/wife Latin duo that sang on board.
Thanks for sharing!

I am interested too. I failed to bring ours home from Nov 12 cruise and am trying to find the name of a Latin duo (husband & wife) that played on board.

I was wondering the same thing. We are sailing out in May of next year so taking our time to research excursions in Belize and Roatan as we've never been to either place before. We've never snorkeled before either.
Hopefully someone will answer soon!

We were just at Nachi Cocum for the first time last Wednesday and absolutely loved it. I think there were less than 50 people. The service was great, the food and drinks were awesome and the beach and water was beautiful. They really made you feel welcomed and cared for. I also paid extra for a massage and it was really good.
The taxi was $17 to Nachi and $18 back.
We will definitely go back to Nachi Cocum and I highly recommend it.

Does anyone know what hours of operation there are for the Galveston Park & Cruise Indoor Parking? Is it 24 hour access to the indoor garage as well? We have a reservation with them for indoor parking in January but we are wanting to know how early we can go and park because we like to come and watch the ships come into the harbor early in the morning.
I have an email sent to the info from the website and tried calling the number but it's a voicemail. And I don't see any information about that on their website.

Very excited to see this review about Mike Pack! He will be our CD on the Breeze in May 2016. Looking forward to it!

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this or not. So if not, please let me know where it should go.
Has anyone done the Mexican Fiesta: Eat, Drink, Dance Excursion in Cozumel through Carnival? I was looking at that for a laid back thing to do (it will be our 4th time in Cozumel) and someone mentioned the restaurant they went to was La Cocay. This is supposed to be a Mexican Fiesta and La Cocay is a mediterranean restaurant so I was a little confused.
I've searched the internet but not found much at all except the 1 review on Carnival. I have an email into Carnival to ask but not sure I'll get a response.
Any information??

We bought some double-strength vanilla at the Rum Cake shop in December. NO cumarin. American-owned store. Amazing vanilla!!

* Actually swim in one of the pools
* Stay up late enough to go to a club or party on deck

Thank you for posting this! My husband and I read all of the complaints and our reaction is exactly what yours is.
The cruise is what you make of it. I don't understand why some of these people even go on cruises when they seem to whine about every little thing. Now if something is a serious problem, I'll whine, but not having lobster on a 5-day cruise is not what I'd call a serious problem.
Seriously, I don't go on a cruise for the food. I go for exactly what you described - the fun, the ports of call, the people I encounter but mostly the memories that I MAKE!!
Bravo to you for posting this. Can't wait to taste the American Table menu items in January!

Thanks for posting this! The menu is a change but several things catch my eye as "must try" items. Looking forward to lots of new choices from this menu in January on the Triumph!

In our opinion the FTTF is totally worth it. It's not just getting to your room before others, it's also getting to go aboard earlier, getting to go to the special window at the Guest Services desk, priority choice for dining and getting to get off earlier.
We love FTTF!!

We are going back to Progresso on Carnival Triumph - sailing out of Galveston on Jan. 11, 2016.
We've been there once - last December and we did the Discover the Yucatan and the Mayan Culture tour through Carnival. It was very interesting.
-
We bought a bottle in Cozumel at the Rum Cake Store. It is AMAZING and double strength. The owners are Americans who live in Cozumel.
-
We are considering doing this one as well. Reviews seem pretty good.

We are booked on Breeze on May 8 out of Galveston. That was too far away so last night we booked the Triumph on Jan. 11 out of Galveston. LOL

When we went on the Triumph back in December, we did what MrPayroll did. Emld the maitre'd on the ship to ask. Never got a reply but they did grant our request. We had the same table for 4 every night of the cruise.

Interesting. My husband just checked in this morning for an October cruise out of Galveston and the choose a time was not available - the system just assigned him 1pm. That is MUCH later than we usually show up. Thankfully we have FTTF so hopefully they are still allowing those folks to check in whenever they want as they usually do - and like it was as recently as April.
