  1. Thanks for the in-depth review. It's not often travelers take the time to write about their experiences on the boards here with Celestyal. This will be my first time cruising with Celestyal, so I was really glad to see your post. I won't be cruising until October 2023 on the Three-Continent Cruise (been postponed twice by Celestyal, once by me but oh well). Am also looking forward to travelingman's review--esp. the wife's reaction to the 'no flush' rule. Thank you again Kalili, much appreciated! And bon voyage and safe travels to you, travelingman, hope you and your wife flush away the stress of life (sans toilet paper) and hope your cruise is wonderful.

  2. Esperidon: I did a little research on YouTube and typed in Celestyal Crystal Grand Suite shower. I found a video where a travel agent takes you through a SBJ junior balcony suite, and she shows the bathroom, which has a walk-in shower. This was for a junior suite (which I have booked for next autumn). So if you are in a grand suite, you most likely have a walk-in shower separate from a bathtub. It looks easily accessible.

  3. My itinerary for the Celestyal cruise next fall includes a stop in Kusadasi, though I am boarding in Athens. The information I had (though I fail to remember where I got it since my cruise has been re-booked twice now due to Covid), noted that I could board up to four hours before the ship leaves the port. Hope this helps.

  4. What jdjlt posted is exactly what happened on Rhapsody. I was also on that cruise, and that final day was complete and utter chaos--I also witnessed seniors who were confused. I also missed my flight home and spent the night at the airport since the front desk told me since I did not book air with them, I could just use the phones to make my arrangements on my own. Which I did, eventually being the last person on the flight the following day. Then I find RCCL charged my card for the calls I made to the airline. After two phone calls and an email to guest services, I have yet to receive a response or an offer to reverse the charges, to the tune of nearly 125 dollars. This was my first cruise and will probably not be the last, but RCCL needs to step up and take responsibility for their poor reaction to this situation.
