  1. hello, my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 15 year olds) are currently debating between

-Freedom eastern 6/14/14 (port canaveral-cocoay-st thomas-st martin) we live 15 minutes away from port canaveral

-Oasis eastern 6/13/14 (ft lauderdale-nassau-st thomas-st martin), wed get nassau instead of cococay and also wed have to drive about 3 hours, is it worth it for a once in a lifetime dream cruise, or just go out of our backyard at cape canaveral?

-NCL getaway eastern 6/13/14 (miami-nassau-st thomas-tortola) seems good

WHich would be the best? is the oasis worth a 3 hour drive? also, this is our first cruise

  2. We will be in st thomas on the freedom of the seas in late august on the eatsern caribbean. In cococay we know well lay on the beach and maybe do a little activity and in st martin we'll go to maho beach and front street/front beach (great bay), but in st thomas we want to go snorkeling and maybe some beach time, here are the 3 excursins we are deciding betweeen

-Caribbean sail to christmas and honeymoon coves (6.5 hrs)

Sail to christmas cove/buck island/turtle cove to snorkel then head to honeymoon beach on water island where you may swim and snorkel, and there is a bbq lunch. 12:15-6:45, and we are in port from 12-7.

    - FAST CAT 2 island snorkel snafari (4 hrs)

Very similar buck island-water island except no lunch and less time alloted at each destination (1:30-5:30)

    -Turtle cove snorkeling (3.5 hrs)

    Just buck island snorkeling (1:15-4:45)

The fast cat seems to do the most in the least amount of time, and this is our first time to st thomas and we couldnt do any island sightseeing at all with the first one, but the first one seems so much fun, and we couldnt do much after fast cat, so why not admit defeat and say youll be on an excursion the entire day, plus turtle cove doesnt have much time afterwards and there is no beach part. Any thoughts? Has anyone been on these excusions?

Also, this is our first cruise thats why we thought wed just explore st martin

  3. So, I was very mad about Quantum of the Seas moving to Asia. I live in New York. But, it could be for the best. Here is what I think should happen with any ship Freedom class or higher for May 2016 and beyond, which is currently unrevealed.

    Freedom Class:

    - Freedom of the Seas: keep her in port canaveral shes doing good there, also her 10th anniversary is that may

    - Independence of the Seas: mexican riviera from los angeles for the winter but fort lauderdale for caribbean in the summer

-Liberty of the Seas: galveston year round

    Oasis Class:

    -Oasis: fort lauderdale year round

-Allure: europe summer, then fort lauderdale winter

    - 3rd oasis is way off so no plans yet

    Quantum Class:

    -Quauntum: Asia

-Anthem: Cape liberty that summer, and the whole year

-3rd quantum class ship: launch in europe in may 2016 and ship it to cape liberty for winters, cape liberty will have 2 quantums in the winter just like fort lauderdale has 2 oasis in the winter

What do you guys think royal caribbean should do?

  4. So, we will be cruising on the freedom of the seas on either june 7 or june 14 2015. The itinerary for the June 7 is western (Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel). June 14 itinerary is eastern (Cococay, St.Thomas, St.Martin). Which do you think is better?

Also, my family of 4 would prefer an owners suite but they are sold out for the eastern so we would have to book an grand suite and we could get an owners on western. Owners on western is $8,200 and grand suite is $7,600 on eastern. Also, connecting balconies? Any thoughts? Is there really much of a difference between grand and owners?

  5. So, we (family of 4, 2 adults; 2 14 year old children) have decided to take the 7 night western on Oasis June 6, 2015. We have decided to be in the same room. We were going to book an OS until we heard about the RFS, which seems awesome and way better fit for our family. Both would cost about $10 k even. We REALLY want a RFS but there is that pesky 5 passenger minimum and the rci reps wont budge even after me offering to pay for a fifth person but not bring one. Does anyone know ANY ways around the pesky minimum? Travel agents who can bend the rule? ANYTHING? And no, we will not bring a fifth passenger.

  6. Hi, my wife and 2 children need help on deciding our first cruise. Our options are:

-Thanksgiving November 2014 (Allure of the Seas) Eastern Caribbean- Nassau, St.Thomas, St.Maarten

-Thanksgiving November 2014 (Oasis of the Seas) Western Caribbean- Labadee, Falmouth, Cozumel

-June 13, 2015 eastern caribbean (Oasis of the Seas)

On the June 13, 2014 cruise we could afford an owners suite for 10,000 but on the 2 thanksgiving cruises an owners suite is 15,000 and we would have to get a grand suite for 12,000. Should we wait and do owners suite next summer or is a grand suite perfectly fine? Thoughts? Also, if we do thanksgiving, do you think eastern or western, we might do western because oasis runs a little cheaper than allure. Thanks.
