This great! We are on our first HAL cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary! So starting out with an upgrade is just wonderful! And leaving home here in Quebec with -30C weather is even better:) Thanks all.

Just got our room and it is on navigator and a VA balcony. Is this an upgrade as we booked a guaranteed balcony, VH I think? Oh yes on NA.

Just wondering about self-serve laudry on NA. We are on a B2B and don't want to take 2 weeks of clothes! Just a quick load and we should be good for another week. That's what we did on Princess and it works great! But new to HAL....:confused:

I was wondering where the HAL ships park in Fort Lauderdale? North, Mid or South port? Do they always go in the same spots? We are looking at hotels and would like one where we can walk to when we get off the ship.

Thanks for the input. We are Platinum with Princess, so that does give us a few perks. (free WiFi) But we really need some R & R and HAL has some great islands to visit, so we are thinking we might like the change, but don't want to be disappointed either....decisions, decisions:)

Hello RJ 2002, I see that you have travelled with both Princess and Holland. How would you compare the two? We enjoyed Princess more than Carnival and would like to try Celebrity and Holland. Right now we are looking at a 14 day at Xmas. What should we expect?

Are there tables for 2 available on the newer HAL ships? This would be for anytime dining and not the fixed times for dinner. We are looking at our first HAL cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary. Hello, we are a couple in our 50's and have only ever cruised with Princess and Carnival. We enjoy Princess for it's quiet, dignified ways and Carnival was a few years back when we had teenagers. How would you compare Princess and Holland America, when it comes to food and entertainment? And which ship would you suggest? Nooradam, Eurodam or Nieuv Amsterdam? (Sorry for the spelling). We are always in bed by 10 and enjoy our balcony alot of the time, so activities etc are not high on the list. Mostly just enjoyable food and good entertainment at night is all we are looking for. Perhaps a spa day...:) Any input would be appreciated. Oh yes we are looking at the 14 day over xmas and new year. Thanks!

I see a few who rave about the Wyndham in PR. On the map it looks like it is a ways from everything. Any info on this appreciated. If I bid resort, is there a possibility that I get this instead of Marriott or Renaissance?:confused:
