  1. Hi everyone!

Dear Partner and I are going to book the Mexico cruise out of the City December 20th and we had a few questions, no better place to come than this thread!

How far is the pier from the Bart, is it advisable to Bart and then take a taxi?

Also, anyone recommend any good pet sitters or dog spa's?

    Thanks a bunch!

  2. Hi All---It was probably a senior moment, but I could not find this post last weekend and, as a result, did not make it to WC for the get together. How was it? The next cruise for Bob and myself is a farewell to Harmony on 11/8--a 10 days Mexican Rivera cruise R/T LA. DestCruz--Thank you for the Dorothy Parker quote--it has been a long time since I heard that one--I LOVE IT! What is the date for your & our BEAV's upcoming Symphony New England cruise? Bob learned that Ron Goodman, the cruise director for our Harmony cruise, got a new job with Silversea just 8 hours after he accepted his severance pay from Crystal. I do think we should have a get together in SF again--Martini's bar is a nice spot so my vote is to do it there again. Anyone suggest a Saturday date?

Oh darn! I should check in more often... I live in WC and I missed the get together. Here is a kick in the butt to myself (check in more often)

    :(

  3. Anyone else want to join Brian and I on the Halloween Group Cruise October 2006? Come on Ice..I need another dyke on board with me! :)

    Iggi,

I've mentioned it to dear SO, her first question was what about our December cruise that we usually plan and the next was what was Hal  You can tell who reads these boards. I'll try and talk her into it, we're both in our early 20's and it might be a bit difficult talking her into going on HAL.

Maybe if I had some good reasons as to why we should go she'd rethink it.

Well, time for me to wash the dog, just spent the day at Crissy field.

  4. Ten years living at the Keys and we've been to 1220 twice! Guess that tells you we're not big bar people. I know.....turn in my badge!

How about coffee at Starbucks on Bancroft some Saturday morning? We walk the trail there all the time. Nice place to get acquainted and they have lots of outdoor seating. Or just go whole hog and set up a date for drinks/dinner. We're game for anything.......should we call ourselves Contra Costa Cruisers? Of course anyone from Casto WEST (SFO) welcome to join...the more the merrier......

I've never been to 1220 or any other club or bar for that matter, not even on a ship.

Starbucks on Bancroft sounds good, maybe stop at Noah's bagel or the copper skillet for breakfast too!

  5. You are right, the Key's are huge. They should add a restaurant or something in the clubhouse area. :)

I don't lurk over to the 300 side that often. I complain when we walk over to the bball courts way in your neck of the woods. We have 2 dogs, the male dog hates Men but we walk around the lake and the 400 side of the keys.

I wonder how many cruise ships they can fit on the keys property?

One day, all of the "burbia" cruisers should go out to eat as was suggested. Either at the Yacht club, The Cantina, La Fogata, PF Changs, California pizza kitchen. Whatever, we have so many options...

  6. No way! You live in the keys. " Get outta here!" no way!

    This world is beyond small.

I'm in shock right now. Do you live in the keys? Maybe we've seen one another?

FYI I used to live in the 310 building then I moved to the 490 Building and now dear SO lives in the 490 building and I got a place downtown. We love each other to death but CANNOT live together. :)

  7. Hey Brian, I don't get back until May 30th, so doing this in May might be tight!:)

June looks more likely to me. And June is such a great month here. We could have it as a part of Pride Month. And call ourselves GGGLC-"Golden Gate Gay and Lesbian Cruisers." Hey, we could even do a float in the parade, and create a cruise ship out of papier mache, and...and...and...

    (relax...I'm just KIDDING!;) )

"Hey, kids. lets put on a show!"

Yes, there's a little bit of Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland in everyone, but a simple get-together for a drink sounds like fun.

We're from walnut creek as well. Sure is a lot of us from the bay area.

Blazerboy, you get back on my Birthday

Maybe all the cruisers (if us lesbians are invited  ) could meet up during pride?

  8. 3500 calories is very easy to consume on a cruise. (Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, desert, snack, desert, liquor) you get the idea...

I ate so much when I was on my cruise. But with all the walking around in the heat, and going up and down hills, having fun in the water, it's really easy to burn those calories.

I didn't gain a single pound on my cruise.
