  1. Hi all:

I am coming in very late the night before my cruise (2AM). Looking for something with a good bed and easy to get to. Looked at the San Juan Airport hotel and not so sure about it. It looked ok but the beds didn't look great. Anyone know of alternatives (or if you have stayed at the SJ Airport hotel and can review the beds) that have 24 hour shuttles? Thanks.

  2. Awesome. Thank you all for the great information. The two times I sailed out of San juan, I guess I just included the transfers, but on other cruises, I just did it myself via taxi etc. So it's good to know that a taxi is fine. I think we are going to come in the day before for a buffer for bad weather and also so we won't be so tired starting out.

  3. Hi all:

Just booked the January 16th Summit to Southern Caribbean. Got the sky suite and selected the "pick 2" (I thin kit's the middle/better option?) for perks where you could have prepaid tips, internet, beverage package or onboard credit. I selected the classic beverage package and the prepaid tips but when I go to manage my reservation, it gives me the options of buying those. Is this something figured out later? Thanks so much. I have sailed with RCL, Carnival, Disney, HAL and Princess, but never Celebrity so I have no clue.

    Trish

  4. Thanks everybody.

That confirms it for me. I have loved the 2 Southern Caribbean trips I have had (one on Carnival and one on Royal Caribbean). It's just sort of a pain to fly to San Juan but I am no convinced that it makes the most sense. Fly to where it's already warm and continue to soak up that sun and heat for a good long week. :) Thank you.

  5. Hi all:

I have decided to book a cruise in January (mid) and am feeling overwhelmed with where to go. I have done Southern, Western and Eastern before and loved them all. But one cruise I did where I went in February was pretty cold until we got past the Bahamas. I am from Omaha and need to warm up so I was thinking just fly south and do another Southern. But there seem to be so many more Western itineraries and it makes me wonder if that might be better? (I think the one I did Western on Disney years ago was in January) I know they are all warm weather destinations, but I want HOT. LOL So, any thoughts? Also any specific cruise lines you like or hated or itineraries. I don't love the idea of Mexico, Haiti etc. but it would be ok, I guess for a stop And I don't love Key West. I want beaches and Key West is not beach. Thanks so much.

  6. Hi all: We are taking the Princess cruise to Norway out of Southampton, England. I am wondering if there is a care hire/rental at the cruise terminal or anywhere nearby. We are spending some time in London and vicinity after the cruise and would like to tour the countryside for a couple of days after the cruise before heading to London. Thanks.
