In many of the cruises I've priced you could eat at the specialty restaurant every night for less then the difference in price from a regular mini to a club class mini.

Those smaller balconies are just fine when that is what I'm paying for. When I'm paying for a suite I would want a suite-sized balcony.

I've modified my original question to be more specific about the size of the deck for the mid-ship Penthouse suites on the Grand. I had a mid-ship Penthouse on the Regal and the deck was so narrow that the table had to be pushed into one corner and was unusable. The Regal only had a couple of regular chairs on deck. I was hoping for better on the Grand. Thanks for any information.

I've had a suite at the back of the ship with a large deck. The penthouse suite I'm wondering about now is located mid-ship. On the Regal that penthouse deck was so narrow you couldn't sit at the table, it was just pushed to the corner. Also didn't have any lounge chairs, just standard chairs and a small table.

We are booked on the Grand with a Penthouse Suite. We had that cabin on the Regal and I was disappointed with how small the deck was on that ship. Does anyone know how big the deck is on Grand? Thanks.

I'm trying to find out where the Star Princess will dock for the October 11 Coastal cruise. The itinerary says it will dock in Long Beach, but someone told me it will really dock in San Pedro. All we want to do at that port is go to the Queen Mary and we want to know if it's walking distance or what kind of transportation we can take.

I'm also wondering about where it will dock in San Diego. All we want to do there is go to the zoo. Since there aren't any excursions we'll be doing it on our own.
