We bought the drink package that included VOOM while on Allure this week. Yes, the internet was an extra expense. But with my teenager running around it gave me piece of mind. We could easily touch base, keep track of who was where, and I could tell him to get back to the room without hunting him down. We have iPhones and we easily were able to iMessage with no problems. We tried using the messaging in the app for hubby and his non-connected self but he didn't always get the messages.

We just got off of Allure today. We left our room at 8:00 am and got through all the lines, luggage pick up, passport showing, bus to Park N Go and in our car and on the road by 8:45am. So while the museum will be closed (bummer) if you're looking for something to do until your flight leaves you should still have time if you leave early enough.

I just tried to check in for the first half of my B2B, leaving June 2. Clicking on "check in" simply reloads the page. We tried it on three different computers, using both Chrome and MSIE. No luck. Call the RCCL help line, on hold for 30 minutes. The rep says that I need to log out, close the browser, and reopen it. I explain that this won't fix the problem, as we have already done that, and used multiple browsers AND computers. He insists that we HAVE to follow his script. Of course it doesn't work. He then tells us, "That must mean that your reservation is corrupted. There is nothing else I can do. You cannot complete online check in. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
What a complete lack of customer service.
On Google, try "Clear Browsing Data" where is says Chrome on the top of your screen. Sometimes that helps me when I'm trying to get a pain in the butt site to load and it won't. Not a guarantee but worth a shot! Good luck!

We had this cruise already booked for June and although they changed the itinerary and we are bummed to miss St Thomas and only have limited time in San Juan we are still going. We're just excited to get far, far away.

Rumhattan from Boleros. If you get the right bartenders like we did on the Majesty of the Seas it's soooooooo good!!

Thank you!! I found some on Deck 11. For 100 extra sq ft I may just put in a bid and let the dice roll. 😉

We got the Royal Up offer email for our upcoming trip on Allure. Currently, myself, DH, and 13yo kid are in a regular interior room on Deck 6. So far we like the location. But we were wondering if it would be worth trying to bid on a spacious interior room? What floors are those usually located on?

It has been quite a few years since we have boarded out of Port Canaveral. We are sailing on the Enchantment for a quick 3 day on November 2. What is the earliest that we can get on board? We want to escape reality as soon as we possibly can.

Hubby and I just got off of this ship about two weeks ago. It is the smaller of the ships in the line but we loved it!! Easy to get around and the staff was great!! We had a larger oceanview room and found that we had plenty of room to move around in. Down the hall from us was a lady who had a scooter and they let her park it right outside of her room. It was never a problem and left plenty of room in the hallway.
As for secrets, hmmm. We found the elevators towards the back of the boat were usually less crowded, unless a show was getting out. Dagoberto and Joseph in the Boleros lounge are the BEST bartenders!
I hope you have a great cruise!

Definitely, a lot of them could keep up with the demand! Intuition, Crooked Can, Cigar City, Funky Buddha, Florida Brewing all have huge distribution lines now. (I'm ignoring that two of them aren't independent anymore).
Yeah, I hate that they aren't independent anymore but oh well. Hourglass is also upping distribution too. Sure we could make a pretty extensive list for Royal Caribbean of all the craft beers they could load onto each port in Florida.
Tomoka Brewing in Port Orange had, and is having again, a presentation with a rep from Royal Caribbean about a Craft Beer-Themed Brews Cruise that will feature tastings, brewery tours and more. I am really curious as to the details about this. And shows there is hope yet for craft beer onboard. Know my husband would be the first to sign up for a craft beer cruise!

People drink them for all the same reasons they drink macro beer. You probably get the hangovers because craft beers generally have a higher ABV.
In another threaad people were discussing craft beer on cruise ships and there is definitely a market for it. The trouble is getting the beverage purchasers at a corporate level to ignore the stupid advice of AB-InBev. And for them to Realize that they do not need to have the same beers on every ship for every sailing. I'd like to see them highkight the departure port and the ports of call.
Ah, AB-InBev  I agree that it would be great to see the cruise lines highlight local ports beers. Here in Florida there are SO many at each departure port. And more and more breweries here in Florida are distributing so it would be a good addition to the ships. Craft, not crap, right? ;)

Thank you!!! It's been a few years since we've sailed so wasn't sure. Knew I'd asked at the right place. :):)

Does the classic soda cup come with the deluxe beverage package or do you have to go up to the bars and get soda each time? We are sailing on the Majesty in July and my hubby really likes the soda cups so he can refill as he wants. Was hoping to avoid buying both packages. Thanks!

I had that happen twice a couple of weeks ago. Finally gave them another email address and that worked. I booked another cruise today and that email came right through (using the original email address that didn’t work two weeks ago).
I'll try my other email address and see what happens. Might even try IE or Firefox and see if that'll help it reset. Gotta love technology sometimes!

Have you checked your spam folders?
Yeah, I checked. But still nothing. Maybe I'll try another email address and see what happens.

I was starting to think it was just me. We had trouble booking the other night and after clearing the cache and skipping our C&A number it worked. However, it rearranged our birthdates so glad I caught that today and called.
Has anyone had issues not getting a confirmation email? When I called today they sent it twice but still nothing. And I can't get a log in forgot password reset email either.

We just got off the Oasis last Saturday and had a room on Deck 7 about mid-ship, but closer to the forward. We loved that location. Like others said, it was a close enough floor that if we wanted or needed to we could take the stairs instead of waiting for elevators without climbing a whole ton of stairs. This was especially helpful when trying to get the the MDR on the 4th floor for dinner.
We also liked it because above and below us were rooms so no major noise from something busy above us.

DH and I were on the same cruise. I totally agree with your review. We loved every minute it and can't wait to go back! Boarding was so easy and much quicker than we thought. We are Platinum and were on board about the same time you were.
I also completely agree with you about the nit pickers. Any trip is what you make of it. Yes, there are some bad experiences (have had them myself) but if you nit pick every.little.thing it makes for a not fun time. And I'm all about having fun so I take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. Can't please everybody all the time I guess! Too bad for them because we had a blast! :)

We just got back from the Oasis on Saturday. Labadee has lots of beach options. We ended up on the beach right under the zipline. It wasn't overly crowded and the water was nice. Bring water shoes! Lots of coral and rocks underneath.
They had blue cabana tents for use but be warned they offer to 'give' them to you but not really. I originally asked a RC person about them but she directed me to someone else so these are not through the cruise line. The shade was nice but it ended up getting hot under there with no breeze. Next time I'm setting up camp under a palm tree for free. Lesson learned.
I have to agree on the market. Very very pushy. We made it about 2 stands as well and then got out of there. Pushiest part of the whole trip to be honest.
If you want a free beach day Labadee is nice. I look forward to exploring another beach when we go back again. Just going to skip the blue cabanas and the market next time. :)

DH and I were in Falmouth just last Tuesday on Oasis. DH has done work in Jamaica and was not too impressed and we aren't huge excursion people so we just stayed in Falmouth and explored since we hadn't been there. We have a Margaritaville here in Orlando and that one is touristy! We LOVED the Margaritaville in Falmouth!! So laid back!
We had a blast just relaxing in the bar area and sipping some awesome Bahama Mama's! We thought the drinks here were better than the ones on the boat! Our waitress Alicea was awesome.
While we didn't go in it the pool looked really nice. They had some entertainment and games that even kids got into. We didn't plan to but we did order some overpriced food (to soak up the Bahama Mamas :) ) and it was far better than the food here at the one in Orlando.
It wasn't crowded at all which was nice. Sitting behind us was a big group of the entertainers from the ship and they were fun to hang out with.
There was free WiFi but it took a while to get connected and I kept having to reconnect which really was no big deal.
If you are looking to get off the boat in Falmouth and just relax but not leave the gates then I highly recommend Falmouth's Margaritaville!

We will be boarding the Oasis and this will be our first time sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. We have always sailed out of Port Canaveral since it is so close to home. We are driving down from Orlando most likely the day before.
We are undecided about parking. Do we get a hotel that includes port transfer and parking or would it be easier and/or less expensive to park ourselves? Also, is it better to park at the port or at an off-site place (if so, any recommendations?). Thank you!
First time on Allure..any tips??

If he's a beer snob he might be a bit disappointed in the selection. We just got off of Allure today and didn't really find their beer selection to be that great. Nothing that we couldn't get at the local grocery store. But, there are beers here that you can't get anywhere else on the ship.
